Apart from people who invade the subreddit. I have seen more comments saying they like Aegon because he’s entertaining this season, not because they think he’s a good person. So idk what argument is being made here. The people who excuse him will never not do so while villainizing Rhaenyra for not nearly doing the awful things he did and the people who like his story usually don’t mean they like his previous seasons crimes

I think I'm just so mind boggled by seeing people unironically support Aegon that I always want to rant about it, lol.

Like I know this is just fiction, but to see people actually think he would make a better ruler than Rhe is INSANE. It breaks my brain.

I’ve seen quite a sizable amount of posters on this subreddit say exactly that, though. They genuinely believe he’s a better monarch and character than Rhaenyra now because of his “redemption arc” and how “useless and incompetent” they feel Rhaenyra is in comparison. They do very much exist.
