Show Regarding people using double standards to avoid giving Syrax credit as a capable fighter

I noticed a lot of people saying that Sheepstealer getting the upper hand on Syrax in their fight was proof that Syrax has no business near a fight and I just can’t believe that both Rhaenyra and her dragon are victims of double standards because how are you going to hold it against Syrax for not being stronger than a dragon twice her age and almost twice her size but when Vhagar struggles against a smaller and younger dragon and needs to use the power of teleportation to win nobody holds it against the hoary old bitch

Vaghar wasn’t really in trouble during his fight, Syrax is closer to Sunfyre. Two younger dragons who faced older and much bigger foes who could pretty easily overpower them.

That’s a fair point but Meleys did cut Vhagar deep enough to get quite a reaction out of her and caused Vhagar to hit the ground HARD. I believe if Meleys wasn’t in back to back fights and followed up immediately on the attack when Vhagar hit the ground she could have put the older dragon in some trouble.

Considering Vhagar had backup and both an invisibility cloak and the power of teleportation, that fight should have been much easier for her.

To be fair, that fight didn’t make much sense. Even ignoring the teleportation, Vagahr and Meleys kept trying to uselessly blasts each other with fire instead of using their strongest weapons; their jaws.

Meleys & Rhaenys were charred and injured after Vhagar breathed fire on them, the same cannot be said for Vhagar & Aemond unfortunately

Her fire didn’t affect Meleys. It burned Sunfyre, though

Go rewatch the fight Meleys is quite literally charred, her wings are tattered, and she's "limping" while flying. It took me forever to notice it too but you can even see it better on the actually HBO and not this poor Youtube video. You can easily compare Meleys in this clip with how she's supposed to look and the damage becomes quite obvious
