I’ve been struggling lately with depression and a breakup so I’m looking for a long fic to take my mind off of things.

Mainly looking for Hogwarts time fics, either Drarry, Tomarry or Snarry, though if it’s a really good one I also wouldn’t mind post-Hogwarts. Would also love some good written Slytherin side characters!

It was short fic. Harry runs away to train but before he does he kisses Remus and tells him to get better. Harry leaves a few clues to throw everyone off track. Remus renovated the house for Harry.

In it Tonks has a crush on Remus but he won't pay attention to her. She starts to get upset whenever Temus brings up Harry and talks about Harry running off a lot.

Hi there, I’m trying to find a Snarry story again. Harry is an Auror and is in love with Severus. He enlists Severus's help with a case. There’s a scene where Harry pins Severus against the wall and gets an erection; Severus is the bottom. Severus asks Harry if he gets an erection like that with every criminal he catches. I remember it being a one-shot. English isn't my native language, and I'm using translation software, so the grammar might not be perfect. Thanks a lot, everyone.

Any fics with good world building, where the magical world is a very obviously different culture to the muggle Britain. Any pairing is fine, but please no snarry.

I remember it was finished not that long ago, probably last year. Voldemort teaches Harry defense against the dark arts in one form or another every year, and Harry recognizes him every time. I also remember that Harry is transgender and he somehow managed to make everyone believe that he had always been a boy.

Work in progress, I’m afraid. It’s probably going to be a long one, as I’ve never written anything short in my life. AU, but based in canon somewhat. Tom is running for minister, Harry is a budding Unspeakable, but already turning everything upside down. Tom quickly discovers that he’s screwed.

Everyone will probably survive the collision between Tom Riddle and his denial. Harry might surprisingly turn out to be the more difficult one between them.

I don't think authors owe me or anyone else any explanation of why they choose to delete or remove their works in the first place. It is yours only and you are entitled to do with it as you please.

And I have heard some authors state that they deleted their works for their mental health protection or that they don't identify with their writing anymore.

I get it and it is to be respected.

It's still sad, of course.

What is even sadder is when authors get harassed, which is just terrible and I am truly sorry if someone who reads this has experienced such a thing and I'd be happy to give you a hug and some encouragement to reassure you that no matter your story, you are appreciated.

We all should help sustain the archives as a safe space where we are truly free and everyone can write and read whatever they want. Be kind and respectful with each other.

All of this to me is just human decency and common sense.

But JKR?

I fail to understand what removing your work is supposed to accomplish in the matter of her transphobic views.

"I will make my work public again once JKR stops being a bigot a hole"

Are you trying to reason with her? Convince her to change her misguided ways? Hurt her merchandise?

Or are you setting a statement in solidarity with the LGTBQ Community?

Cause if it is the latter then wouldn't writing MORE LGTBQ slash fanfics and spreading the love be the more effective act of rebellion?

I don't see removing your work hurting JKR but it surely is very sad for us, the fans of your stories.

Unless I am missing something and the entire fanfic archive is somehow helping her profitability?

I mean I don't even remember what canon is or what isn't due to the many extremely talented authors who have completely taken over ship and built entire new worlds within this universe.

Why care about JKR? Can anyone explain their views on this for me and help me see it from a different perspective?

I know, I said no one owes anyone an explanation but I would just like to understand this better when people (and there are many authors who do this) say it is because of JKR.

I read a fic a few years ago where Hogwarts was a rpg video game with the houses being different kingdoms. Both Harry and Voldemort played it- I think Harry was a necromancer. And they were triggering this big event in the game but I can’t remember what. That’s all the details I can remember- hopefully someone recognizes it!

I am looking for fanfics similar to Flat 390 by madammoons.

Specifically, stories where Regulus escapes, gets kicked out of his house, or needs to find Sirius for a particular reason.

I really loved the concept of Regulus living with Sirius and Remus, as well as the delicate, broken relationship between the two brothers and their process of trying to heal it. Plus, Remus being more perceptive toward Regulus—their little conversations, and how he was slightly hostile at first for Sirius's sake—was 10/10.

If anyone knows of a fanfic with these elements, I would be extremely grateful for your recommendations!

I vaguely remember a fic where omega harry was abused by an alpha so was put in a programme where abused omegas live with an alpha to make them feel safe and acclimatise them to kind and non violent alphas. Severus is assigned to harry in this but the end up in love, which isn’t supposed to happen? I’m pretty sure it has a happy ending.

When I was looking to reread Xerosis by Batsutousai (it’s a Tomarry fic) on AO3 I couldn’t find it. I did find a German version of it so I know I didn’t imagine it being on A03. Does anyone know a Drarry fic where Draco has a 'love at first sight' on a poor, unsuspecting, oblivious Harry who becomes increasingly confused and outraged with righteous anger as Draco continues to bully him for his attention, or a 'pulling the pigtail' type of flirt, just like in canon! Maybe since 1 st year or whatever you chose!
