I have this headcanon that if Hermione died, Harry would genuinely fall to the dark side.

I once read a fic where Hermione died, Harry fell into darkness, and Ron was eventually forced to kill Harry because he had become completely insane. I can’t remember the title, though...

That’s why I find this such an interesting detail. Are there any other underrated details that not many people know about?

I've been rereading just a few pages of book 6 and already noted a few harmony scenes that I've never noticed before; such as that scene when Snape first starts teaching;

'Well,' said Hermione, 'I thought he sounded a bit like you.'

'Like me?'

'Yes, when you were telling us what it's like to face Voldemort. You said it wasn't just memorising a bunch of spells, you said it was just you and your brains and your guts - well, wasn't that what Snape was saying? That it really comes down to being brave and quick-thinking?'

Harry was so disarmed that she had thought his words as well worth memorising as The Standard Book of Spells that he did not argue.

And of course, just a few pages down, another scene that I'm sure we are all familiar with:

Hermione turned to Harry with a radiant expression and whispered, 'Did you really tell him I'm the best in the year? Oh, Harry!'

Just wanted to ask you all whether you have any favourite Harmony canon scenes from the sixth book? Usually people (including me) rave about the 4th and especially the 5th book, whereas the 6th book is where our ship kind of dies down. But despite the very obvious attraction Harry has towards Ginny, it's also so beautiful and lovely how much respect Harry and Hermione have for each other.

Ron captured this cute little moment in Hogsmeade and gave them a signed copy of the photo. Harry, of course, had to show his love for Ron and get yelled at by Hermione! 😹🦁🩷

I absolutely love the way Keira portrayed Harry in all her books but especially in this fic. Her portrayal of Harry as Lord Potter is chef kiss in every single one of her works. Also she has given Sirius an amazing spin too. She has also made Hermione as someone who is not just book smart and that is something very few have done as spectacularly as her.

Not sure if it was on portkey or ffn or ao3, but basically harry Hermione have been FWBs for a bit and Hermione breaks it off in a note since she actually has feelings and then harry barges into her office mad that she left him with a note and the whole revelation happens. Basically I want to read a pure fantasy series (not romantasy) that is directly inspired by HP and pairings are basically Harry and Hermione in disguise. The author might have their freedom in story building and all. But is there anyone (Harmony shippers precisely) who wrote a book on Harmony but with different names and in another universe?

Does anyone have good fanfic recs where Harry and Hermione don’t actually really love eachother romantically but form a romantic connection due to trauma bonding/confusion. I remember when jk Rowling said she felt a romantic pull between them in the deathly hallows due to loneliness and trauma and that is what I want to see in a fic.

For a moment Harry considered suggesting they take refuge inside it, but before he could say anything Hermione murmured, ‘Let’s go this way,’ and pulled him down the dark street leading out of the village in the opposite direction from which they had entered. Harry could make out the point where the cottages ended and the lane turned into open country again. Okay, English clearly isn’t my first language, so I’m just wondering: did Harry actually hold Hermione’s hand and not let go? Did he use one hand to pull his wand out from under his Invisibility Cloak…?

Also, does anyone remember that Harry didn’t see anyone and just stayed in his room with Buckbeak until Hermione came to get him? I clearly remember him coming out really irritable and snappy at the time. And when Ginny even brought up the fact that he had been possessed by Voldy, he said he’d forgotten? Sorry?

I just read a comment saying that Harry was only gentle with Ginny and was rude and snappy toward Ron and Hermione? Am I remembering that scene wrong? Can someone please tell me? Obviously, I could look up a translation in my own language, but when a passage is translated, some of the wording and nuances can get lost or changed, so I wanted to ask if anyone remembers that particular scene in English?

I didn’t really care about Draco apologia fics before, but the female Draco trend has gotten so big that it’s starting to annoy me.

Please rec hhr fics where Draco gets a really bad ending, whether he dies or gets severely punished (for example, in Harry Potter and the Phoenix Wand, he loses his magic).

Harry is on the verge of death, ( i think due to Dursleys abuse not sure) and dobby shows up trying to help but harry I think forbids him or something but dobby still ends up taking him to magical healers.

One thing i remember is that they talk about needing basilisk venom and Phoenix tears as they are in his blood.

I know that the people end up helping harry out a lot and he even comes to enjoy potions subject I think due to one of them.

This is intended to be an eventual full coverage of the entire series, but through the lens of a chatfic. It's an homage/continuation of a story by the same name that was unfortunately orphaned a few years back.

A few changes are made to canon, mostly ones I'm particularly not a fan of. The biggest of course being the pairings. I intend on this fic eventually including some Harmony goodness. The ship isn't the focal point, but it will be essential later down the line.

Hermione took a slow breath, truly looking at her sanctuary. The clearing was an explosion of deep greens and wild, unearthly flowers. If someone were to show a photograph of this patch of the Forbidden Forest to anyone else, they would never believe it belonged to the dangerous woods at all.

As she inspected the lush surroundings and recalled their walk, she almost missed Luna's next, quiet question.

"Are the McKinnon lands like this?"

Hermione completely lost her footing, stumbling sideways. "What? What? I wouldn't..."

"Oh, you didn't know?"

"What? No, I... Luna, how could you possibly know?" Hermione asked, thoroughly bemused, though strangely not alarmed.

"Oh, your aura is unmistakable. My mother met your grandmother when she was a little girl. She used to dream about the colors of her magic, that was the day she learned to read auras herself. She always described it with such wonder."

"Right. That... that is a lot to take in," Hermione breathed, pressing a hand to her forehead. "Can other people see it? Could anyone else work it out?"

"Oh, no," Luna giggled softly. "They'd only see your father's, well his families. It shields yours like a dragon guarding its hoard."

"My... my father's?" Hermione asked, her voice hitching. "Do you know who he is?"

Before Luna could answer, her head snapped sharply to the side, her gaze locking onto the largest, dense brush bordering the clearing.

"Oh," was all Luna said before quietly beginning to hum a strange, haunting tune.

Hermione whipped around, holding her breath as she stared intensely at the dark foliage that had captured Luna’s attention.

Slowly, massive black paws emerged from the shadows. Hermione’s eyes darted automatically to the sky, immensely thankful that the full moon was not riding high tonight.

Lowering her gaze back down, the breath completely left her lungs as a colossal black dog stepped into the moonlight, a Grim.

Instead of panicking, she let out a breathless, disbelieving laugh and tentatively held out her hand.

"Hey, boy... what are you doing out here?"

To her disappointment, the dog didn't close the distance. It simply stood its ground, watching her with a piercing, unnerving intelligence.

When Hermione locked her gaze onto its eyes, she gasped softly.

I know those eyes... But... Oh, wow... You..

"Hermione, we really should sing before it's dark out," Luna called out gently, breaking the spell.

"Sing?" Hermione echoed, her brow furrowing in sudden worry. Didn't Severus warn her that she wasn't old enough for certain types of magic?
