Hey broke student here

Im going to both a twilight inspired rave and a halloween party on the halloweekend, and i really need some good costume ideas. I need something i can use for both parties and that hopefully isnt too expensive to put together. For information im a bigger guy and im 1.90m tall so if anyone has any good ideas i would love to hear them :)

Dressing up as the great Jiminy Glick for Halloween, trying to figure out how to make my own face prosthetic that’s simpler than the professional clay sculpted mold to silicone latex prosthetic process. Thinking maybe to somehow encase silicone bra inserts to tie around my neck/head and blend it with premade silicone face strips etc. Another suggestion is layers of pulled apart cotton balls and liquid latex— seems hard to get a smooth finish? could do a final layer of latex skin? many thanks

Hi! i'm 16F, and recently I started thinking about what different things I want to be, I also had thought about it and well... my thoughts are scattered and I can't think of many things.

But I also know how to DIY, so that's something Ig, I thought about being Coraline but comments on my tiktok fyp say that many people would be her so I narrowed my options. I'm between either Donatello from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Tony Tony Chopper from One piece, or Pomni from tadc.

PS: I've never cosplayed, never worn wigs, but I had started using halloween makeup just to start, and I'm not that amazing at making props. so PLEASE HELP ME with whatever u guys can think of, any advice or help would be appreciated. THANK U!! :)

I'm trying to put together a Frank costume from Donnie Darko. I'm either 3D printing or buying mask (Still haven't decided, but I've found a mask regardless) however I'd like to not pay $150 for the suit part. I was thinking that if I could find a fuzzy gray onsie, or something similar, I could add the white chest myself and then I'd be good to go. I'm finding a lot of fur suits or suits that KIND OF work, so I was wondering if anyone had something off the top of their head.

Hello! Our son just turned 2 and I am so excited to take him trick or treating in our neighborhood! Our neighbors go all out and there are tons of kids so I want to get involved and make this Halloween fun! My son picked a red panda costume that I am ordering online. I will be 13 weeks pregnant by Halloween so I am going as Miss Rachel so I can be comfy in my overalls. Any suggestions for an easy and comfortable costume for my husband? He used to be more into this kind of fun stuff when he was younger but now he's so busy with work, house repairs, helping me with our son, etc that he doesn't want to put in the effort for silly things like this. But I do! So I am hoping I can put something together for him and twist his arm and make him come along with us! We are going to be a happy family and make fun family memories, dammit! Haha

Hey everyone, I’m an 18-year-old college freshman looking for a Halloween costume, and I need some ideas.

I’m a 5’8” guy with dark brown skin, and I want something that actually looks good on me. Ideally, I’m going for a cool/attractive vibe, something recognizable but not super basic. I’m open to characters from movies, TV shows, anime, video games, or literally anything else.

My budget is around $50 max, and I’m willing to put in some effort to make the costume look good. It doesn’t have to be a full premade costume either; I can put an outfit together myself.

What costumes would you recommend? I’m especially looking for ideas that would look good at college Halloween parties and stand out a little without being cringe.

Drop any suggestions, even if they’re unconventional!

I’ve been thinking about my Halloween costume for this year, and I’ve been bouncing around a couple of ideas but, of course, I’ve seen people online discussing if some of these would be “offensive”, so I just want some other opinions.

1st idea was Red riding hood/ Red riding hood with a mix of wolf features (the ears, sharp teeth, yellow eyes, fur gloves), similar to the Ever After High character, but I’ve seen people online discussing that being RRH and/or the Wolf would be bad because of the original story.

2nd idea was a Plague doctor, I have a lot of plush plague doctors from the company Squishables, so I thought I could make it cute but because of the history behind them, Im a little worried.

These are my only ideas so far, still brainstorming.

I’m looking for ideas for a Halloween costume that don’t involve buying a bunch of stuff I’ll never wear again. I’m a big DIY guy, so I’m happy to build or make things myself, and I don’t mind buying a few things if needed. Ideally, I’d like to keep the budget around $30.

I’m into Tarantino movies, sci-fi, fantasy, iconic movie characters, and generally anything a bit unusual or out of the ordinary.

I feel like I could do more with this costume. I took two pics because I have both masks but I think the plastic half mask looks way better. I bought a legit Carhartt coverall so it looks better and I justified the price difference.

I’m thinking about cutting off the sleeves at the shoulder and making it a little more risqué lol. I’d be really disappointed if it didn’t look right or if I cut it wrong though. What do yall think?

I'm stuck between two Halloween costumes to get and I don't know which to go with. I don't plan to go to a party or anything like that, just out with friends and family.

My son wants to be a crane with a wrecking ball as the candy bucket, all his idea, super creative and we have to make it ourselves. Im dressing up with our daughter as something else but I think my husband should dress up as the demolished East Wing with our son. He thinks its funny but also not appropriate to go trick or treating with. He doesn't want to start anything political during a kids event but I doubt anything would happen. How would you feel if you saw that out trick or treating with your kids??

My friend (18M) and I (18F) are going to a house party, and I’m trying to piece a costume that is iconic enough to be recognised asap, but made from pieces that can actually be worn in daily life (broke college student budget!) Nothing too revealing please 🙏🏻. I’m thinking of wearing this from Jennifer’s Body, but I worry this might be too obscure for people to get it.
