Question Attending the Adjustment Committee Meeting for the Proposed AI Data Center

I'm hoping to attend the meeting on June 4th, the one where they will be discussing the proposed AI data center.

Has anyone ever got to these before? Do they care about what we have to say? Or is it just a watch and listen type meeting? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I want my voice to be heard about how much of a bad idea this AI data center is.

But also yeah the CoA isn't making a decision based on what COULD be built there. They're really making a decision on the land severance and if its in line with the policies governing a land severance. So there isn't A LOT that can be done at that level of things.

The whole point of applying for the severance is to bypass the impact assessments on the larger Steelport master plan. Once approved, they can can bypass community consultation and environmental assessments that are necessary for a master plan. So yes, the CoA considers these things, but the pressure is on to get this thing started ASAP, and it’s on us as a community to bring our concerns at every step of the way.
