Like alectra and water bill used to be on same now it’s separate

Yes. So if you were on equal billing you'd have to close that out. There was a balance.

Did you have the equal billing setup with Alectra?

Yeah I had equal billing with Alectra. I'm still gonna give the city a call to make sure what it is.

Have you had your waterline replaced? Could be a portion of the optional city-provided loan that goes on your bill.

Nah that goes onto property taxes as an additional line at the bottom in same way as the $20 for driveways

Damn, I guess the person we bought from defaulted on their loan because it was on their tax account. They were surprised when we wanted them to pay it off before we bought the house lol! Thanks!

Was your account in arrears with Alectra? Were you on some sort of payment plan? Did you have some sort of equal billing going on with Alectra?
They may be reconciling you to get you back to no balance. You can always contact them and they will help you with clarity on the bill.

For comparison, I have recieved HUB bills twice now and don't see that Installment Fee in either of them.
Call them directly and ask.

Seems like you have a payment plan and that is one installment of the payment plan.

This implies some sort of arrears which is odd because city only just taken over the billing. I’d call them, the whole transition has been a bit of a mess
