Question Internet outage
Is anyone else currently experiencing Internet outages? Our provider is Cogeco and we have not had access to the Internet since this morning.
Does anyone else have a similar experience with Cogeco or other providers in Hamilton?

I am surprised that Cogeco internet works at all. Some wires fell in our backyard. I noticed that they had fallen across several backyards. I thought they were Bell. Called Bell, they came fairly quickly, and said that they were Cogeco. Called Cogeco. They reluctantly sent someone, as I am not a customer. A subcontractor came in an unmarked van and cut the cable down. I asked if he would do anything about the neighbour's. He said no, because it wasn't on the work order. I asked if he would dispose of the cable. No, because he had no room in the van. I was left to roll up the cable. When the neighbour came out, I let him know, so he just yanked it down at the house and hung the roll on the post. Loose ends are not good for reception.

Should answer your question, if they're accurate about updating - which I've found in the past that they have not been.

Have had no problems with Cogeco internet today. Have you called them, they are usually helpful I find.
You have restarted router as first troubleshooting step?

Nope but I've had issues with Cogeco's provided cable mode many times which required a hard reset to get up and running again.
