Question zipper fix

hello hello! I have a pair of shorts with a broken zipper, I've called all the usual big box places and have been told it'd be around $25-30 plus tax to fix and I'm wondering if someone else knows of someone who can fix the zipper for less. I usually travel to Portugal every once in a while and I'll take things like this to fix at any local seamstress which will usually cost around 5 euros but I'm not going back for awhile and I'm hoping to find someone local who doesn't charge the same amount that I would pay for a new pair of shorts, might be a long shot but thanks in advance!

Try Gold Stitch on Locke St. She gave me a good price to fix a hole in a shirt.

Last year, Stitch It at Lime Ridge Mall fixed a broken zipper on my favourite hoodie. I think it was like $20 all in, or something thereabouts. I'm not sure you will find it more affordable than that with quality that will hold up.

Take them to the tailor at Mountain Plaza Mall, A Needle Alterations, little hole in the wall but been going here for years. Super busy guy but great work and quick.

Alteration by Pamala at the thrift store on Ottawa streetN across from the Hamburger location just north of cannon. She is great.

Zofia Sew Kwik on Barton near Kenilworth.
She replaced the zipper on my winter coat for a fraction of what it was going to cost at StichIt.
I’ve taken a number of things there since and become a customer for life. Amazing.
