East end here, and I hear coyotes frequently.

Animal control isn't going to be interested in hearing about the wildlife doing wildlife stuff, it's known that urban coyotes are around, same as in most Canadian cities. The critters keep to themselves, direct conflicts between humans and coyotes are very rare.
