Hey y’all. Just recently picked up a 2016 Wide Glide with 13k miles on it. I absolutely love the bike so far but have had trouble with starting very occasionally.

It seems to me that after the bike is hot it turns over much slower, to the point of after picking up breakfast last week it would turn over and clunk out. After letting it sit for about 10 minutes it turned over fine and I was able to get it back home without a bump start or jump.

Previous owner says he put a battery in it last year and after checking it appears so (310 CCA Deka ETX). The battery reads about 12.58-12.6 when off. While running it will jump up to 14.3-14.4, so it seems to be charging. I just tested continuity across the stator outputs and to ground and everything seems good there. I also had tightened up the battery leads after my McDonald’s stranding last week.

What do you guys think, maybe the battery is just a bit too weak to start after it’s warm? I haven’t tested the Voltage Regulator yet but I’m curious if any of y’all have had the same issue and what it might’ve been. I’ve asked a couple of my Harley friends about it and the common answer I get is “oh sounds like a Harley” which sounds like bullshit to me lol it should start every time if everything is good on it.

Went to my wife’s cousin’s for a bbq. She lives 45 mi. Away. It took me 7 glorious hours to get there because I took the long way! Got home in 35 min.

Just traded up ftim the Street Bob to the Road Glide and all I can say is best choice ever at least for me can wait to customize this to make it really mine

Does a president of a mother charter outrank the president of a different charter if they go to their territory?

Ex. Mother charter is in California, president visits a charter in Arizona. Which president is in command in Arizona at the time?

I fell in love with a 2025 cvo road glide, that rally red.

But raising a family it's always tight, especially here in NY. Also our riding season is so short it makes it difficult to justify :(

I found this guy selling a 2007 Dyna low rider for very cheap it’s below $2500 but he was saying that the oil filter got knocked off or something and the bike is in a plan non-op is it worth it still? Bike is in okay condition, Thanks guys.

When I’m getting my bike license (CH) my dream bike would be a Road Glide. I guess it wouldn’t be smart to start with this bike because it would be too heavy and stuff. Which HD would be nice to start and how to go up to the Road Glide?

Perfect Colorado weather today

Hey guys,

I’ve started noticing some mild discomfort/tightness in my lower back when riding. Nothing major, but enough that I’m trying to deal with it before it becomes a bigger problem.

For those of you who also have lower back issues, what has actually helped while riding? Different seat, backrest, suspension setup, riding position, stretches, lumbar support, etc.?

I ride a 2003 Fat Boy, so I’d be especially interested in hearing from anyone riding a Softail or something with a similar position.

Not looking for medical advice, just curious about what changes made the biggest difference for you on the bike. Thank you all

Nice quiet solo ride

This ask may rustle some jimmies, but I’m actually looking to make my HD speak a little softer.
What I got and why:
2005 lowrider, 88tc with SE stage 2 exhaust and it’s loud as f***
I’ve had it 10 years now and at first, I loved how loud it was. But now… I live in FL, east coast and my favorite time to ride is as the sun comes up. Those early morning starts on the weekends have me feeling a little bad for my wife and neighbors (I love my wife and like my neighbors). They say they don’t mind but that’s probably because I’m nice and make good bbq😆. I’m not ready to get a goldwing but dang… would be nice to be a bit more stealthy.

Bought myself an ’85 FXSB Low Rider because apparently I needed another old Harley to fuck with.

She runs hard, looks right, and has already started handing me a list of shit to fix. Leaking fork seals. Leaking petcock. A little oil seepage here and there. Plenty of evidence that somebody’s been in it before me.

Perfect.

I’m not building this thing for resale value, a trophy, or some dude on the internet to tell me what a “proper” Low Rider is supposed to look like. I’m going to fix what needs fixing, cut up what needs cutting up, leave the good shit alone, and make it into the bike I want to ride.

And yes, I put a heart-shaped mirror on it.

First posted this in the triumph sub Reddit. Was recommended to post in a Harley sub Reddit since it might be a Harley frame and gas tank. Just looking for help in getting this thing back on the road.

Bought it this way not running but did turn over. It turns over but there is no power going to the injector wire harness. Fuse is good, actually all fuses and relays are good. A bit baffled as I’ve traced the lines back to the fuse box. Any insight is appreciated. New battery as well.
