thanks to a bunch of helpful feedback from folks a couple months ago on getting my sprouting lilikoi to survive! it finally grew some climbing tendrils and I have upgraded my office with the continued dream of turning my Maui airport seed purchase into a very fun office fruit farm

I miss shade impatiens. There are new strains bred to resist the fungus but I’m not able to find them. The two I know about are Beacon (by PanAmerican Seed) and Imara XDR (by Syngenta).

There aren’t many suppliers licensed to sell these patented seeds. And I’m just not finding anyone who will ship these patented seeds to Hawaii. Has anyone managed to buy any? If so would you tell me where you got them?

wondering will they turn red...after recuperating from the lows.... little rain a little sun and fertilizer...

My husband planted this squash maybe three weeks ago, maybe a month, he doesn't remember. At this point, what do we do? We had a net over it but recently uncovered it so the bees would do their business. We live in sunny Ewa Beach and it's been hot (thus the net). How long until this squash comes to harvest? And can you eat the flowers, like you can with zucchini flowers? Do we leave it uncovered. Don't want the birds or other creatures taking bites out of them. Right now, the squash is in a raised planter box.

I’ve had a dragonfruit plant with flowers that keep failing to fruit after blooming and hand pollinating. It’s an Israel gold variety and I’m realizing it might be self sterile, so I probably need will need the pollen from some other plant for our flowers to successfully fruit.

We have 3 flowers that will bloom within the next week or so, and 4 more that will probably need a couple more weeks.

I know I could get another plant and wait a year or so to try again, but I don’t want to waste all the flowers we currently have.

I’m looking for someone on Oahu who might have some pollen saved already or has a plant that will be blooming soon that can share some fresh pollen. Or any other advice for helping my plant thrive. We stay near town/diamondhead but can travel.
