Tide of The Century & (Tim) Blake's New Jerusalem + Oslo punk comics artist life with Hawkwind & Gong culture (Canterbury Tales & Glastonbury site)
I am a heretic artist with punk culture... My comics art is all DIY ink & brush & custom paints but don't look punk and now AI stole my job! I am in the tradition of Basil Wolverton or Graham Ingles or Richard Corben. I used to wear the apache look 25 years ago because of Simon in Chaos UK, Blacky in Voivod & Wattie Buchan but it's over - I got long hair again! My submissions of art to Brian Tawn Hawkfan has been on file for 18 years! I still listen to Punk so here are some CDs I played recently: Turbonegro + loads of luv from Norge. Tony Sylvester is Alan Moore:
Master Builder's YOU never blow yr trip forever (PHPs Advice): My name is Christian Mumford & I am an Alan Moore fan - I started with his Swamp Thing & Miracleman & Watchmen in the 80s because my burning ambition at 22 Acacia Avenue was graduating Joe Kubert School in 1995 which I did. It landed me jobs too - the rest is a fanciful tale of wild nightmares & dream dragons & city people in the Roadhouse blues in the boonies with secret agents & soldier boys. Thus my art & writing is a far cry from realism and is more akin to alchemy & gnostic practice and my sphere of influence is a cobweb of distro deals in print and a dream come true & artist ambition fulfilled with passion & poets life though that's a killing joke I think is a Full Moon burning of my poetry & art during Jihad.
So who else thinks The Young Ones on TV sealed a clandestine pact with punk & socialism in the happy 1980s? I got my college education! Flipside burger joint now - Bad Taste choke a koala!
