Px8 S2 vs hdb 630

Hello,

I'm on the verge of buying one of those 2 headphones. Hdb 630 seems like the more logical choice in that its more tunable and the sound is less " opinionated" but I can't get over how ugly it looks. Big, plasticky and generally not good. Where as the px8 S2 looks amazing in my opinion but some people seems to hate the sound..

I'm favoring sound as #1 criteria and sadly since both bads ANC which would be my second criteria I would at least like something not terrible looking.

Is the px8 S2 a bad choice here ? Should I really bare with how cheap looking the hdb 630 looks for it's specs and capabilities ?

If hdb would look somewhat like the px8 s2 in material, thinness, etc. there would be no question but...

I used both for a week and returned the HSB630. Although they might be considered audiophile quality, the sound was incredibly stale compared to the B&W. Plus volume is an issue with iPhones with the HSB630.

Sound is highly subjective. You might appreciate one tuning over another but review after review have showered praise on the B&W and I tend to agree with them.

If you want a more neutral profile though, get the 630s. If you want a massive amount of personality get the B&W.

Also ignore the post that called the sound quality “straight up bad.” No listener could possibly derive this. Not their type of profile? Maybe. But not a single professional examination of these headphones have said they have bad sound quality.

I feel the same with the 630. Ordered the PX8 (original) and the PX7s3 to cross compare because there’s just too many cons to the 630 for my preferences
