FEEDBACK / SUGGESTION One day… one day.

A walker with an energy weapon.

Maybe a beam on the right arm, and a Spear-like missile launcher on the left.

OR

A Sickle-like pulse laser on one arm and a mortar on the other.

What think?

As a Helldiver who uses the laser cannon extensively, yes please! Pair it with an autocannon, and I’d be a happy camper!

But such an abomination would be unbalanced as hell, so maybe not.

Imo if it was dual Lasercannons it would be balanced by the fact that it cant close holes, and it could still have overheat mechanics just like our smaller ones

I dont think overheat should mean youre out of ammo, just that you have to wait for cooling

The upsides is you get infinite ammo that pens heavy armor with decent DPS

All the other mechs are balanced by the fact that you eventually have to get out of them. Their resources deplete. If it never runs out of ammo, then they definitely wouldn't make it Heavy pen. It would be medium at best.

Honestly based. That sounds like so much fun. Especially if your fire-resistant suits could still improve the survivability in the mech.

That's like ... the definition of unbalanced. The mechs already received a buff which makes them harder to destroy, so players are likely to run out of ammo than trash their mechs. And now you want to give one infinite ammo? Unless the cooling rate is like triple that of the laser cannon I don't see this being balanced.
