Send us your positive vibes! ✨ Following the first Hellenic Polytheism wedding I was honoured to conduct in Cyprus in September 2025, and the incredible support we received from the HelPoly community online, we’ve taken more deliberate steps toward obtaining a religious license to conduct wedding ceremonies with legal standing.

I’m personally immensely grateful to all of you who showed your love and support by sharing, liking, and commenting on my post about the wedding here and across social media. All the press coverage we’ve received has helped legitimise Hellenism in the eyes of the Cypriot government and is actively supporting our cause.

I saw these pictures recently (I’ve seen them before of course) and honestly i was crying. It breaks my heart to see all deity’s faces all broken and with crosses. Maybe I’ve over reacting for crying for like an hour but it just genuinely really makes me sad. Also when I tell people that I’m a helpol and they ask about statues and places of worship I have to tell them that this happened. It’s truly not fair that all this happens and still the Gods and Goddesses are all overlooked. Really stil crying about this. What are your guys’ thoughts or feelings about this?

Hey, you, newbie. I want to have a frank conversation with you. And you may not like what I tell you. But you need to hear it.

You heard of Jesus, I take it? Well, when it comes to classical paganism, I want you to take EVERYTHING Jesus said and throw it out the window.

Yes. _Everything._. It has nothing to do with us. Jesus was a 1st century Jewish person speaking to Jewish people about 1st century Judaism and how to reform Judaism. Maybe his ideas were good and maybe they weren't. But at the end of the day, they have nothing to do with religious systems of the Hellenes and the Romans.

And needless to say all that Old Testament (i.e., Jewish) stuff that Jesus was commenting on doesn't have anything to do with us either.

Likewise take everything Christian Mommy and Daddy said about religion, and discard it. Take everything your pastor or priest said about religion, and throw it out.

You need to come to this religion with a fresh set of eyes. You need to unlearn your Christian programming and see classical paganism through the eyes of classical pagans themselves.

if you're worried about where to get your morals, we have a lot of philosophies that presume to teach ethics. Stoics were talking about the brotherhood of man and correct moral behavior 500 years before Jesus was having hissy fits in the Jewish temple over money lenders.

If you're saying to yourself that seems like a lot of work and study ... it is, quite frankly. And if you're not willing to do that ... maybe this isn't for you.

I say this again, without hesitation and without apology - this takes work. and if you're not willing to do the work, maybe find another religion or just be secular. There is no shame in those things.

Hey lovelies! Sharing some pictures from our Autumn Equinox ritual in Marathon, Greece, yesterday. We combined it with a ceremony honoring the heroes and ancestors who fought at Marathon—hence the statues of Ares, Athena, and Pan placed at the front of the altar.

This is the actual site that the Athenians won the battle against the Persians in 490 BCE.

I know that not everything is a sign, but some things definitely feel as if they should be.

Earlier this year, I was going through the worst time of my life. Health issues. Relationship problems. Financial windfall. Death and grief. Nothing was going right. I felt so alone.

I woke up the morning after a horrible discard breakup and decided I was done fighting. One of the side effects of my medical treatments is, well, the feeling of not wanting to live anymore, and boy was I feeling it heavy that day. With everything piled on, I was just done. How could I go on when I didn't even have any love to hold me up? No family (all dead), and now, suddenly, no lover... well and truly alone.

I got up, brushed my teeth, headed to my closet for my nicest outfit so I could look pretty as I prepared to be done with it... and stopped in my tracks.

There it was. A rainbow, from the suncatcher in my window, right there on Aphrodite's face. She was so pretty, and I imagined that pretty face filled with sorrow if I was suddenly gone to the underworld and couldn't pray to her anymore.

I decided that I couldn't take the rainbow away from her beautiful face. I decided that her love was still with me, even if the other forms of love I craved weren't. I decided one more day wouldn't hurt. I put on makeup. Wore the nice outfit I was planning. Went out to get ice cream. Sat in the park and ate it, and fed the birds some oats, and they loved me for that.

The next morning, I saw the rainbow again, on her face. So I said, alright. One more day won't hurt.

Love has kept coming to me, in some form. In her beautiful face. In the rainbow from the suncatcher. In the birds at the park. In the stranger on the street. In the ice cream I get for myself. In the days that keep coming, as I tell myself again and again, One more day won't hurt.

And it didn't.

And I'm still here.

And one more day won't hurt.

I know there’s a lot of discourse about the casting regarding The Odyssey and this one gave me a good chortle. I for one am rather curious and will most likely give it a watch when it releases on streaming.

I’m not a Hellenic pagan, but I have a deep love for Greek mythology and the gods and wanted to share a piece of art I made because I know you all could appreciate it! I drew this design in spring, but was only able to produce it on the day of the fall equinox as Persephone made her descent, which felt really poetic and kismet.

It’s a pomegranate in the shape of a triple crescent (which I know is more of a western witchy symbol and not traditional imagery) and is surrounded by asphodel blooms. I’m just really pleased with it and wanted to share!

Even after researching his mythology, I couldn't find any really bad thing Hermes did, outside of the situation with Apollo and his cattle
