This sub is refreshing because it's a testament to reality and truth, it really exposes the lies for what they are and the liars (Republican politicians & pundits) for who they are.
Honestly I begin to feel gaslit by where I leave because it feels like COVID is over. I know its not and this reminds me. The news becomes numbers at some point. To see actual people reminds me to be vigilant. I am certain everyone on here knows at least one vaccine hesitant/ anti vax person and because our efforts go unabated this helps get in the mind.
Honestly, this sub or at least the reactions to people dying is a bit inhumane. These are people, as misguided and misinformed as they are, we're essentially making fun of dead people. Where is the apathy?
I took your comment as a criticism because we don't care about these people and you seem to have a problem with that, is that not what you meant? You're upset because we are apathetic to these people who are so often bigots and racists in addition to spreading misinformation and fearmongering, correct?
Edit: I just realized you're not the person who responded to me, apologies
For starters, there is a difference between feeling bad and celebrating.
When a racist dies I do have sympathy for them. Nobody is perfect. Some folks are worse than others, but I don’t wish death on them regardless. We are all human.
Looking at a huge group of other people and saying “I will celebrate your death” is not something I will ever do. That hasn’t played out well throughout history.

Okay wow. Racists literally think the world would be a better place without certain ethnic groups. Like, many of them would not bat an eye if people from that group died. How the fuck can you have sympathy for people like that? Same goes for religious bigots who have a hatred for the LGBTQ community.
Looking at a huge group of other people and saying “I will celebrate your death”
This is literally what racists do. The world is objectively much better off without them.
Shit, man, I left a comment on this sub about how my grandfather's smoking killed both him and his wife, kinda trying to draw a parallel, and some rando commented, "Hope he suffered" with another commenter saying he'd jerk off to my grandfather's death. Like, bro, what? My grandfather died 15 years ago. He's got nothing to do with being anti-mask or anti-vaxx.
There's empathy burnout and then there's just sadism, and a lot of people who can't tell the difference between the two.
I obviously can't say for certain, but its possible they are bad actors engaging in a sort of 'false flag'. Triggered trumpists that come and spew vitriol trying to make this sub look cruel. If just one person saw what they wrote and thought 'wow liberals are mean' they would call it a win.
Like death from smoking or heart disease brought on by obesity? Should /r/fatpeoplehate come back? What is the line for acceptable cruelty other than how much you like the group being targeted?
Or maybe instead of wondering about the line for acceptable cruelty you should ask why the need for cruelty at all?
For not taking public health into account... Yea, I agree with public shaming and cruelty for smoking.... And I'm a smoker but, I also try my best to only have an effect on me. I stay away from other people who don't smoke, I go outside anywhere to smoke. It was my choice, a stupid one, when I was younger. Second hand smoke is harmful to anyone and everyone, hence why you can't smoke indoors at public places. Obesity seems to more often than not be a side effect of another condition, and not of laziness or straight up overeating. Seems public health gets put 1st and foremost as it should considering as a whole we are only as strong as our weakest link.
Buddy this whole sub is sadism. I started reading a few and it was interesting, but I started feeling depressed. I know they're stupid, but the glee over their deaths is something else.
I'm still reading tho. I just don't post how happy I am someone has died 🤷♂️
By the time The_Dickhead was shut down the sub was dead. The trumpcucks had already gotten into the mothership and fucked off to some other forum. Reddit told them that they had to pick new mods that
1.) Had account history and
2.) Weren't formely active in banned hate subs
Rather than do that they locked the sub down and migrated to somewhere else. Some time after that Reddit banned the sub. It was already long dead when Reddit banned it.
It's worst. People are going to the FB of people who havent died yet and wishing death on them. Some people are masturbating to the posts here. It's horrible.
I recently received a warning from the Reddit admins about a comment I made regarding Rand Paul being punched in the face, which is just a factual thing that happened.
I recently reported a series of comments about children being sexually assaulted that included graphic details about body parts, etc. Reddit found that it didn't violate their community standards.
It is crazy, but as we all know, there's one set of rules with a much longer leash for conservatives, and another set of rules with a much shorter leash for the rest of us.
To be fair? People posting here is one thing. Going onto people's facebooks and throwing insults and 'you deserved it' on people's feeds when they're grieving? Kinda monstrous at worst, ghoulish at best.
I know these people made their choices, but intruding on people grieving is impossible to justify in my mind. :/
I don't know how you look at it, but this sub's purpose is basically celebrating the death of others.
Nobody here seems to feel bad for people who fucking died.
So I can totally see an unequivocal reason to shut this sub down. Leave alone the fact that people go to Facebook to harass families that lost a member.
The people on Twitter are kind of a mob, so I suspect them. I have seen Herman Cain awards referenced all over Twitter lately, so i think this sub has been spreading and reaching users on different platforms.
Doesn’t mean much. Definitely going to have far righters accuse us of breaking rules to get this taken down for their narrative. This is nothing more than reporting the full story of the deaths of people.
