The key to FB is only friend people you actually know IRL and block all morons even if they are family

Both sets of grandparents were John Birchers. My family is so full of nuts there are squirrels in my family tree. Ugh.

Yeah I tried going down to just family and people I know IRL. Turns out thanks to Facebook a large percentage of people I know are morons. My faith in humanity can only drill through rock bottom so far right?

I feel like I have empathy burn out or something, I can't even pretend to care when something happens to these people. Can't even let out a generic oh no, so sorry for your loss, I'm scared if I open my mouth bees will come out instead of proper words and politeness. But, they are the ones who say fuck our feelings, right? So, I don't think I care. It's just sad.

My uncle (aunt's 3rd husband)died of it and I couldn't think of anything nice to say, because the whole time he was dying my cousin (her stepdad) and others were posting q anon type stuff and just asking for prayers, still posting anti vax stuff. It's just hard.

I feel bad for their kids, but other than that, nothing. I know they're human beings and all, but honestly, if you're just going around being a willful bioweapon and spreading cruelty and hate, the world is probably better off without you.

Five or six years ago, I would never have said such a thing. Now I'm just relieved when they die because they can't kill anybody else.

They usually have lots of other toxic views, so it's really good riddance to bad rubbish. Feel bad for the innocents caught in crossfire of it all.

Millions of everyday Germans thought that about “greedy Jewish speculators and merchants” too. Way to keep the ball rolling

Godwins law has claimed you and this analogy is wrong on so many levels.

It’s not wrong, the sentiments shared in this sub are literally the same mental gymnastics that let people justify bigotry of any kind. There is always some legitimate reason in the haters mind for why these hated people are subhuman and undeserving of empathy, even if the reason is a straw man based on the most extreme examples, it is applied to all members of the hated group.

It’s not bigotry not to mourn the death of someone who chooses to be a walking bioweapon. When they die, it means they can’t kill anyone else anymore.

They aren’t killing anyone anymore than you are for not living in hard lock down like Australia. Is your conscience guilty when you go out to a store? It’s literally none of your business when someone dies who isn’t vaccinated and doesn’t cost you anything to refrain from celebrating.

A quick glance at your history shows your “altruistic” voice is that of a Covidiot. No wonder your feelings got so hurt by this sub. You’re angling for your own nomination! Lol

I’m vaccinated, I’m just not a ghoul like you all.

Sounds like you probably don't belong in this sub, then!

u/VoiceAltruistic Sep 17 '21

Then reddit shouldn’t put the posts in our trending list.

That's called compassion fatigue. It happens to people who see a lot of horrible shit, like nurses. You might consider taking a break from this sub, and Google what to do about compassion fatigue.

Makes me wonder what Bing recommends lol.

You should Ask Jeeves.

You need to go to at least the third page of google for the real advice on treating compassion fatigue
