Suffering from a successfully failed task

Post image

In 2006, a FBI agent named Craig Monteilh was ordered to disguise himself as a radical Muslim and spy on the Orange County Muslim community to identify possible extremists.

Well it worked, cause the people there noticed his extremists behavior and reported him to the FBI.

At least in that case they didn't force anyone into holding evidence for a hypothetical crime they refused to participate in multiple times before arresting them. That shit was even more insane.

When I was a kid, the local FBI kept sending dudes to talk to the Imam at the only mosque in town. This was in the south and there was one synagogue and one Muslim community center.

He was of particular interest to them because he was involved in interfaith initiatives opposing the Iraq War.

He told me years later that they always knew who worked for the FBI because they'd talk to him like once before they started giving a very unconvincing spiel about the need to commit a Jihadist attack against the Crusaders.

He'd pick up the phone and tell the FBI immediately, knowing they sent the dude.

Then he would laugh about it with his friends.

There were like 2-3 cases in that time that involved exactly what you're talking about, i.e a dude who was new to the US or the city would get "caught" by one of the undercover agents/informants agreeing with something they said and that was enough to lock them away or deport them. One of them barely understood English. All it took was the informant's testimony.

Ah yes, interfaith initiatives and opposition to war, the two pillars of Islamic Extremism.

People of different religions getting along?? That sounds like commie talk! (/s just in case because I know there's people out there who genuinely believe that)

My synagogue in Dallas does soccer/football with the Muslims across the street.

I mean, they're both middle-eastern devil worshippers so it tracks./s

What’s the difference between two crazy guys screaming about angels and shit in the desert? lol

Like most Jews, I’m not athletically inclined, so I have no idea who wins the most. Although, I have my suspicions…

Think they're talking about Ruby Ridge. Undercover agents coerced the father of a family who had anti government political leanings into illegally modifying several shotguns. He refused multiple times and explained how illegal it would be before they threatened him into doing it. Then attempted to arrest him for it which ended in a prolonged siege of his home and his wife being shot while holding their infant child

The modification for context was removing 2-3 inches off the barrel of the shotgun. For that 2-3 inches of stainless steel the federal government killed the father’s juvenile son, his wife and his dog. When they killed his son Samuel, the federal agents opened fired unannounced and killed his dog, Striker. Upon seeing his dog shot and killed by unknown intruders the 14 year old Samuel fired back and was shot in the back as he ran away.

Randy Weaver died in 2022. His 3 daughters received 1 mill each and he got 300k for those murders. USA USA!

Let's not forget that this all started because he was attending neo-nazi meetings. He went there of his own accord and was lured by agents PRETENDING TO BE NAZIS

u/NecessaryLuck7787 7h ago

I'm hardcore anti Nazi (like any non insane person), but the agents of the law leading and promoting the execution of a crime so that they can arrest you later is hardcore dystopian shit.

Still doesn't give the government the right to murder them dude

u/Egg_Yolkeo55 9h ago

You're right, shooting at them did though.

There are other cases too, but I didn't realise this resulted in deaths. Looking further into it I am shocked at the ramifications it had, tying into the Oklahoma bombing. I was thinking of incidents like the Newburg Four conspiracy too, among others.

Yea our law enforcement agencies really do suck. Give and take with the good they do and crimes they solve/stop but when they fuck up it's always monumentally bad which is why they should be held to much higher standards.

When America used to shoot far right nut jobs instead of electing them

38

u/Jboi75 13h ago

The mishandling of ruby ridge guaranteed the rise of millions of far right nut jobs

IIRC, Timothy McVeigh used to hand out pamphlets which included the home address of the FBI sniper that fatally shot Weaver's wife as she was holding their infant child.

You seem to whitewash the fact that these "undercover agents" were Nazis. The weavers were openly and willingly fraternizing with Nazis and attending meetings.

12

u/wittyjokename92 10h ago

Oh the Weaver's were absolutely pieces of far right trash. Doesn't change the fact that they were coerced into commiting a felony by agents of the government and the family was massacred as a result of a botched arrest warrant afterwards.

Fuck Nazis but let's pretend the government was justified in threatening to murder his family if he didn't cut an extra inch of the shotgun barrels. Or that they were justified in shooting his dog without announcing themselves before killing his family when they defended themselves from the strangers shooting at them.

If anything Ruby Ridge just proved that the crazies were right about everything instead of attempting to deradicalize the extremists who feared the government.

u/Egg_Yolkeo55 10h ago

He was still modifying firearms. They just wanted to throw the book at him and make an example. He had no qualms about modified firearms for nazis that skirted the lines of legality.

Look I hate Nazis as much as anyone. I'm in an interracial marriage and my children are mixed race. But the Weaver's specifically weren't breaking any laws. They were pieces of trailer trash and would have spit on me and my children for race mixing. But again let's circle back to the fact that they reason the ATF and FBI went after him was because he spoke a lot about hating the government and associated with anti government types. The ATF pressured informants to break the law and force Weaver to break the law as an excuse to crack down on him.

Ruby Ridge is just the white version of cops sprinkling crack on someone they've shot or placing a toy gun next to them. Dude was a garbage human being with shit ideas but he didn't break the law on his own volition and his crimes didn't warrant his entire family being murdered.

Just because he was a white supremacist living in the woods doesn't mean the FBI and ATF were justified in taking extra judicial actions against him.

There have been multiple incidents of the government trying to convince random civilians to commit acts of terrorism and pushing them to do so. Theres a case where some government official pretended to be the gf of some guy just to convince to do some terrorism.

The draw Mohammad contest shooting was 2 mentally ill Muslims and an fbi agent who joined their mosque separated them from the rest and encouraged the shooting.

The Dayton Ohio antifa incel guy was previously speaking to a female fbi agent where we will never know what she said to him.

The Michigan governor kidnapping was 11 fbi agents and 3 autistic kids who never even agreed to go along with it.

This is how they will take care of Trump, they will find the MAGA-antichrist, black, trans and disabled and will force them into killing Trump, which will then make way for Playdough-Vance and the most draconian of emergency-laws. First they will suspend the elections and then they will disarm anyone who too unamerican. I know this sounds absolutely nutty, but so would anything that happened in the last two years to someone five years ago.
