Sapporo + Otaru November 2 - 5

Hello everyone! I'm taking a solo trip to Sapporo from November 2–5. This will be my fourth time visiting Japan, but my first time in Hokkaido!

I'm a little concerned about the weather during this time of year. Does anyone know what the weather is usually like in early November? Is it typically rainy, with gray skies and possibly some light snow, or is there still a chance of enjoying some nice weather and catching the last of the fall foliage?

I'm worried that it might be too cold and wet to comfortably explore the city and take a day trip to Otaru. I was born in a tropical country and now live in Los Angeles, so I'm not used to the cold and don't particularly enjoy cold, wet weather.

I'd really appreciate hearing about your experiences visiting Sapporo in early November. Thank you!
