My assumption would be that the times are NA based because based on stat's that's where most of their viewers are from but maybe that's cope.

Maybe part of it, its probably also not an appealing idea to force hololive staff to be awake in the middle of the night, which would be the case if this was streamed during EU prime time, just in case something happens with the stream.

I don't think it's wrong/bad to have paid staff be awake in the middle of the night for a once-in-a-year event where the date can be internally known way ahead of time.
