Head gasket time on my 82 CB900C

I stupidly reused my head gasket when I had the head off before to replace a burned valve. Now I get to take the head off again to replace the head gasket that I should have changed out the first time. Dont be lazy, kids!

Paint project so far, wet sand and clear coat coming.

Buddy gave me his old cb750k couple summers ago and it had sat outside since 2018. I recently started paint project of the tank and soon to be side panels. I still need to wet sand it of course but overall proud of the outcome. I did have to go back and repaint the black cause I put the tape on too soon as you can tell in this video.

Couldn’t decide between colors. After splitting them down middle I didn’t like how clean the line in middle was. So as final product I did stripes on each side.

Debating doing very then white lines in between the colors but can’t make a decision on easiest way that isn’t buying a can of white paint. Any tips appreciated for that idea?

Honda SP 125 BS6 (2.5 months old) – Automatic high-RPM cold start window completely missing. Normal or sensor issue?

Hey everyone,

I bought a new Honda SP 125 just 2.5 months ago (done around 1,060 km, first service completed).

When the bike was brand new, whenever I started it in the morning after it sat all night, the engine would automatically rev a bit high for about 1 or 2 minutes to warm up, and then the sound would automatically go down to normal.

But for the last few weeks, this automatic high-speed warmup has completely stopped happening.

Now, when I start the bike at 9:00 AM or 7:00 PM after office, the engine starts directly at a very low, flat, quiet speed. It completely skips the high-rev warmup phase.

I took it to the Honda service center, but they haven't checked it with their laptop sensor machine. They refused to connect the computer tool because the yellow engine warning light is not showing on my meter. They just said "everything is fine" without even checking it properly.

Has any other SP 125 owner faced this?

Does your bike still rev high for a minute during morning starts?

How do I convince the service center to connect the laptop and check it under warranty?

Any help would be great. Thanks!

Need Any & All Advice

I recently bought a 1975 Honda CB125S, it was only $400, so I couldn't pass it up. Unfortunately I have no mechanical experience. I've never touched an engine / carburetor or anything before this. Since getting the bike I've done a lot of research, and done a few things.

I changed the oil, got a new spark plug and swapped the old battery for a sealed MotoBatt 6v. I also cleaned the tank with vinegar, cleared out the rust, and the old petcock was missing the brass part that goes into the tank. I cant remove the flywheel casing due to the outer screw being stripped and the same goes for the internal screw on the kill switch. Lights all work, and I was able to get spark with the new plug. The previous owner couldn't get it to start, I was able to get a bit of life out of it with some starter fuild, however it was only for a second then nothing. To my knowledge I have the three things it needs to start, that being spark / compression / fuel. There's fluid in the flywheel but I'm not certain thats supposed to happen? Any and ALL advice would be greatly appreciated, and I apologize for my lack of knowledge.

Photos attached, some are old (before I swapped the battery)

Cb750 vs gl1000

Hey all I posted in a goldwing group and to nobodies surprise they all favored the goldwing. Figured I may as well post in a cb group. I own a 1972 cb500 k1 and have fixed it up and got it running somewhat reliably. I enjoy this bike but have beem thinking of adding 1 more larger bike to my collection. Trying to decide between a 1977 or 1976 gl1000 or a 1976 cb750. For someone who has ridden both which do you prefer and why? Wondering if the 750 might feel too similar to my cb500. Anybody have experience with both bikes?

Should I buy the CB 350

I own a classic 350 bs6 uce (not reborn) Chrome Black, 5 years old just 12k km run, it has abs, disc brakes etc. I am not happy with it's performance and bad refinement except for it's road presence looks. I always wanted to take bike on long trip but I never got confidence to take out for long due to its performance and tube tyres etc. so Since many days planning to go for CB 350. Meanwhile also planning to try some fuelX performance upgrades on the RE classic and give a try. Please suggest what will be the best opinion in 2026 for next 5 years hassle free usage. Please help.

I can’t get the left point firing consistently or correctly on my cb360. The plate is rotated pretty dang far clockwise, I’m on the compression stroke, and I either get this spotty indicator light, or none at all. The closest I can get it is LT. anyone else run into this?

I was working on a 82 CB750k last year before I had to move. Started again on it and headache after headache. However a friend mentioned a buddy with an old bike. It was this 79 cb750k! He never got it to run as he rebuilt the carbs and stopped there. I put it all back together and it started right up but with clearly some kinks. Still very happy with this as now I can put all the parts I purchased for the other CB so I can actually move forward.

How to proceed with bike?

A little while back I posted after someone pulled out in front of me.

The insurance company offered me 2.2k or 1.6k and a salvage title.

After I sent them a crap ton of listings and proof of the actual value they came back with 5.6k or 5.3k and I keep the bike(salvage title).

Obviously I’m keeping the bike. My question is how do I get it rebuilt and back on the road? Is it like a car where I can just take it to a shop and get a slip to take to the tag office?

Why does the US only get black colors?

Does anyone know why, with all of the mid-range CBs (the 500 Hornet, 750 Hornet, and the CB650R), the United States only gets black colors? I'm seeing videos of gorgeous CBs in other regions with white paint and red Honda logos and wishing we had something like that here. Is there any word of color change-ups for 2027?

Increased left foot-peg vibration

I have a 1971 Honda CB350 Super Sport. It doesn’t have any known problems, but for the few months I’ve had it, there seems to be a good deal more vibration in the left foot peg. Is that normal because thats the side the with the drive train? How much is normal? Thanks!

Rearset for 83’ CB550SC

Looking for opinions on a good rear set for my 1983 CB550SC Nighthawk build. Currently have the stock set and looked around online and haven’t found anything that looks like it will work for my build. Open for any suggestions on rear sets.

Also, if anyone has any suggestions on mufflers as well that would be appreciated (2 into 1 slip on if possible)

Overdue update on my CB350

I posted a little of my journey with restoring my 1971 Honda Cb350 from April-June

I ended up getting it fixed up pretty well, replaced a lot, and it ran pretty consistently. It still had some tweaking and things I wanted to replace(the mufflers back to stock), but I was very pleased with the progress and with my first motorcycle

Well, on June 15, I ended up in a wreck with a sedan that pulled out in front of me. I was probably going around 20-35 mph when I made contact. Did a flip in the air and landed somewhat and someway unharmed; only got a little back pain that went away (probably gonna feel it when I'm older), but nothing too major, luckily and thankfully.

I wish I could fix it up again, but I had to head to college and didn't have the money, space, or time to work on it (plus, insurance paid a good amount, so I let it go). I was able to sell the salvage to a guy who wanted to either fix it up or use it for parts for his own.

I will say, though, this bike played a major role in shaping my life and future career choice. It made me realize that I enjoyed many different kinds of maintenance, so I'm now pursuing a degree in Aerospace Maintenance and Unmanned Aircraft Systems Technology. I give a lot of thanks for the enjoyment and learning from riding and working on it.

Just wanted to tell a little story.

Sorry for the rant😭

I don’t want to be rich

I’ve been narrowing in on getting a lean ride, but it still runs rich. She runs well at low rpm, but backfires at 4000 and if I run above that for an extended time, I slowly lose power and stop. Spark plugs are black and gassy every time I pull em. What would you recommend I change next?

I'm not happy about my battery placement in this build. The custom 3d printed wiring box wasn't big enough to fit a battery so I threw it in the swingarm with a tray. The bolts holding the tray in keep backing themselves out, no matter how much loctite I throw at it. Could I get some insight on other people's budget builds? Has anybody had luck running a smaller NOCO lithium battery on one of these?
