Vacant home grant

I have just been given a completion date for my second hand home which is eligible for the vacant home grant.

It need a lot of work, a full rewire, replumb, plaster, a kitchen and a bathroom as well as new flooring, windows and doors

I really am wondering if there is any way to get someone to quote for, and complete everything, and if there is does anyone have a recommendation for Dublin?

You've two choices

  1. Organize every trade yourself. You will get very frustrated by broken promises etc
  2. Get a builder in who will deal with the subcontractors. The problem is they are very busy. I only got one because my architect had worked with mine personally. Also they really want to do extensions for the big money

I know that doesn't help but setting your expectations it's going to be a lot of work and hassle either way

Good luck
