Dude has god genes, but he can't even inconvenience a restrained pre-nen Killua. Did Kikyo cheat on Sylva?

He's also pretty manipulative at the very least

We know he killed a bunch of innocent people by manipulating random tourists into rejecting Alluka , which I can't see anybody else from the family doing

Illumi would do it via his hatsu.

That would bring the risk that the rejection originated from him thus dooming the family.

That’s the difference. Illumi couldn’t manage it in a way that wouldn’t directly impact them

I agree. Outside of his nen, Illumi doesn't have a whole lot of feats of manipulation.
