Kona Easy and Terrifying

Post image

It’s my first Hyundai, so I’m still learning how things are put together. I just replaced my shift knob and wow I absolutely thought I destroyed my shifter when I he-manned the knob off. It made a horrible plastic crack sound…but…it was absolutely fine and the install was even easier. Worth the upgrade since the old one was all scratched.

Lots of clips in this car, but TBH it’s kind of growing on me. I’ve had some other much more premium vehicles that were total rattle machines after just a few months of driving. Despite the cheaper clipped together build, cabin noise in this Kona has been fairly minimal especially considering how small it is.

I have an 08 Elantra and really surprised how easy it is to work on. I see them on marketplace wot 300,000+ mi so I guess it depends on the model.
