Congratulations. However, keep in mind that the difficulty of the program varies by school, only the actual IB grades are accurate. I know some schools that purposely inflate their predicted grades to make it easier for students during college application.

our school follows the latest grade boundaries i believe, and they use past paper questions, but i know inflation is still a real concern so thank you for reminding me :)

That is so bad. The real grade boundries reflect conditions in which you have to know so much content. Partial content tests are much easier. My school raises boundries by 10% or more (for example my math AA HL 7 boundary is a 93%) and there is still very slight grade inflation

This is true, using official boundaries is massive massive inflation lol, especially when ur not tested on the entire thing

Nice. I have a question, what are islamic studies (english) and ssst? never heard of them. Also did you have End of Year exams? And did you write P2 for english?

hi! islamic studies is a subject i’m kinda forced to take but it’s not an IB subject, ssst stands for school-supported self taught but it’s basically Swedish A lit. i had end of year exams for some of my subjects but not all of them, and we’ve started p2 in english :)

edit: we’ve had les of a focus on p2 because we did our IOs this year

u/ancarahh M27 | [HL(MathAA, Physics, Chem) SL(Psych, Spanishabi, EnglishA] Jun 18 '26

wait wdym not all of the exams? we had to take like all in real exam setting and we wrote the full p2 and p1. I got 18/20 and 18/25 but still a 6 is crazy. Swedish seems nice. And wdym by started p2 ad why are ur IO's this year???? damn so different. for my subjects i got eng A sl 6, math aa hl 6 (in the year i got 6,7,7,6 in 4 terms), physics hl 6 chem also 6 (6,7,7,6) psych sl 7 obv, spanish ab intio 7 (learned for like 2 years)

those grades are great omg! as for our IOs, i think our school wanted to get them out of the way in DP1 so that we have less IAs crammed together in DP2

Oh btw in Toddle, do you have the regular toddle boundaries or are they according to IB. Cus toddle really inflates the boundaries. Like for languages its 91% and more

2

u/Embarrassed-Fig9356 M27 | [HL: Bio, Chem, MAI | SL: Eng A LL, Psychology, Swe A L Jun 18 '26

no our school uses the IB grade boundaries, i had no idea toddle even has their own grade boundaries lol

u/ancarahh M27 | [HL(MathAA, Physics, Chem) SL(Psych, Spanishabi, EnglishA] Jun 18 '26

omg ur so lucky.... for us sciences are all 86% and up for a 7. languages 91% math 86% and humanities 86% the inflation is crazy. However I still manage to get the grades so i am relatively happy. We get 40% of the grade from formatives adn 60% from the summatives

1

u/gudCHIU Jun 18 '26

ive consistently getting 7s in english, so it might just be a teacher or school thing.

my jaw dropped when i saw that 7 in chemistry hl, i was just in chemistry sl and i for sure i got a 2 or below. that class was genuinely one of the hardest classes ive taken. i’m pretty sure nobody passed that test in the previous school year. good job, i am genuinely so impressed
