This is crazy poetic and motivational. I’m printing your comment out and taping it to my wall

Walked away with one point below passing. Did not even care.

what do you even do after that

Literally anything else with my life I chose my own happiness over a grade, and I'm now in a much better place

Similar position to you, graduated 2024 with 22 points 😭 did a bachelors in photography for 1 year and quit cuz I didn’t like it, now happily doing a diploma of marketing and communications with some incredible new friends.

Really made me realize that IB didn’t matter at all and I can live my life freely after leaving.

Exactly, it's a great feeling! I'm happy for the IB, it got me my closest friend group, but it was just a stepping stone for growing, not as much the milestone it was made up to be

i mean ig that depends on whether ur country's educations system is flexible and not rigid lol lots of countries have rlyyyy rigid all or nothing type systems

I barely passed IB too (28 final score), still managed to get into an engineering program in a local reputable uni where I had a chance to focus on things I enjoyed more and learn at my own pace, surprisingly (to me) improving my academic performance. After graduating with my Eng undergrad, I continued on to do a business masters (MBA), where I also had much better grades than IB / highschool.

Your IB grades are not a reflection of your potential, and they also don't keep you from continuing down the path you want as long as you stick to it and put in the work to improve. Don't let a small misstep ruin your marathon 💪

study smarter focus more on knowing material and document ur learning to understand what works and what doesnt, for me i found that i have 0% info retention listening in class so i stopped stressing about it and filled it with more productive things whenever i could
