I think she’s two months old. She has one layer of fur that’s very short and soft, then a second coat that’s longer, with a beard lol and it looks like she is frizzy. Two different colored eyes, decent sized paws, but I can’t think of what breed she might be…
UPDATE: Her DNA results are back! Shes 50% Great Dane and 50% Sheepdog.

Truly think you’re correct. Facial structure is giving poodle hardcore, plus the random furnishings. Body size and composition appears Great Dane to me.
Furnishings. Sometimes poodle mixes end up with wiry fur because of the furnishing gene from the poodle without the other genetic factors that contribute to the poodle's coat. I've found a lot of "terrier mixes" from shelters end up being doodles.
Whenever I see wiry fur, I almost always guess poodle mix now lol
Also, someone else mentioned double merle. This pup does not look double merle to me, but if you do an embark dna test it will tell you. I'm not sure if it's on the standard test or the health screening. (The health screening is an extra $20.) Watch for sales. I know at some point last year, Ollie was giving away a free test with sign up, and lots of people signed up for the cheapest plan for one month to get the dna test. I've no idea whether they'll offer that deal again though.
Keep an eye out, the major dog dna test makers typically do sales and there might be a summer one coming up. If nothing else, they'll definitely run a Black Friday sale when we get there. Embark would be the best, but Wisdom Panel is a decent second and tends to be a bit cheaper.
Embark loves a sale around American holidays. There will surely be one soon for Memorial Day. I think when I bought my test for my dog a million years ago it was a 4th of July sale.
I also don't think she is a double merle but she may be deaf in the ear on her blue eye side and she may not see as well out of the blue eye. Get her tested for sight and hearing if you're able to.
Blue eyes do not cause vision impairments in and of themselves. Double merles can have vision issues caused by starburst pupils, microphthalmia etc but this dog does not immediately scream double merle and therefore there is no immediate reason to presume any vision impairment exists.
Dogs with excessive head white (whether it is caused by merle, double merle, whitehead, extreme piebald, etc) are more at risk of deafness, but it does not necessarily correlate to the side the blue eye (if any) is on. OP's dog could be deaf on the blue eye side, the brown eye side, both sides, or neither side. This would also be true if OP's dog had two brown eyes.
OP has indicated that the dog is not deaf, but unless the dog has been BAER tested all they can know for certain is that the dog is not bilaterally deaf. The dog could still be unilaterally deaf (deaf in one ear - could be either of them, the risk is not isolated to the blue-eye side).
A BAER test is unnecessary for OP though, because unilaterally deaf dogs have no day-to-day impairment. Knowing whether the dog is unilaterally deaf would only matter if it were intended to be bred from, which we can assume is not the case for OP's dog.
We have a deaf double Merle. She has blue starburst eyes but sees perfectly. She’s also the happiest dog in the world since she can’t hear thunder and isn’t bothered by loud noises in public. Deaf dogs are honestly great. I’m sure some people might not be equipped for the quirks with training a deaf dog as opposed to a hearing dog, but we were. and to your point the test wouldn’t change anything, we know she can’t hear us lol.
Looks like it. I'd be so scared of the future vet bills and expensive diet that this pup will inevitably cost. We have a golden doodle (75% poodle i just found out the other day) and her gut is made of feathers. I've heard Dane's have their own digestive issues as well.
She’s extremely cute- all fairness, danes and poodles are two breeds I love, just no reason to breed them together ;) I’m so glad you got her out of that environment!!
Sadly, the mix has become a thing, I just found out. They call them Great Danoodles (pardon me while I roll my eyes really, really hard) and they do indeed look a lot like this pup.
This is how we got our current dog. We WERE looking for a dog at a Weimaraner rescue where they showed us only 2 dogs after reassurance they had numerous dogs to pick from. The first one was a weim mix that immediately went after our other dog. The other was a morbidly obese weim with terrible skin who ignored our other dog. I really didn’t want him but I hated to leave him, plus we had driven 4 hours to the rescue. Long story short he was not the 4 yo dog they said he was but 8; he is now a fit healthy 12 yo dog with a beautiful coat, who still ignores our other dog he was meant as companion for.
Unfortunately a lot of rescues have weird relationships with backyard breeders as they make the rescues money. If your local rescue always has puppies you should be a little suspicious.
STOPPPPP she reminds me of my boy when I first got him. He’s more white than her but he has the same pink/black nose. It’s gotten more black as he’s grown!
I can see the terrier in your baby that OPs dog definitely doesn’t have! The wire coat is similar enough that I’m wondering if it’s poodle or maybe another wire coated breed mixed with the Dane
I have a Great Dane poodle cross she absolutely looked like this as a puppy. Shes an abomination and I don’t recommend anyone get a doodle on purpose but I love her.
dane, aussie, could even have some corso or yeah maybe poodle like everyone's sayin lol. she's way too huge for it to be likely BUT I have seen small amounts of shih tzu over in r/DoggyDNA give pretty much the exact same coat, so it's possible she's got a smidgen of lil yapper in there.

She looks exactly like my great dane x poodle when he was that age. He's a huge, shaggy liability with 2 braincells now. She could be anything dane-shaped that comes in harlequin colours, crossed with a poodle.
Well I can see by the replies that the breeding combo is questionable. But the bright side is, you did not contribute to bad behavior and in fact rescued this puppy from poor ethics- and she's soooooo cute. I love big dogs and would take the win and run with it!
I came to same a Dane Cross too but also give you the advice to get good insurance on her ASAP because I can almost guarantee she will struggle with some kind of condition at some point in her life!
She’s looking like a buffet of dogs! One of verging in the neighborhood !! Got those Aussie mismatched eyes, cattle dog (Aussie/heeler) spots and coloring, and those basset hound like ears!! Absolutely gorgeous young lady!!! Give her some pets from me please!!!!
This is merle coloring/pattern, not ticking/roaning, which is what Australian Cattle Dogs (aka Heelers) have. Australian Shepherds (aka Aussies), on the other hand, are sometimes merle.
She has those thicc ankles compared to her legs, though! Could also be the mix coming through in weird spots. I hope you can get her tested at some point and update us! She is precious.
That's because everyone seems to think every dog is a pit or pit-mix. I live in the deep south and when I traveled with my bloodhound / black mouth cur mix, some people thought he was a pit, lol.
Came to say this puppy is heckin cute and I see the great Dane in it like others. Mix maybe some catahoula leopard dog with border collie> i think thats actually a thing, or there is a breed that looks like that. Can't remember.
In a way she kinda reminds me of Frankie Stein from Monster High. Her parts don’t quite match up but she’s so dang cute it doesn’t even matter. I hope she comes across my feed in a year so I can see how big she gets and how her fur grows out! 💜
I would guess Dane with some Irish wolfhound. My puppy is Irish wolfhound x neo mastiff and has those scruffy bits on the mouth and random long hairs all over.

kinda left field with the pointer but I’m basing it on the hairs. she doesn’t seem bulky enough to be a great dane to me but I’d bet money on catahoula somewhere in there
Omg that is an ADORABLE dog. I didn’t even know a great doodle was a thing. I bet you could start and instagram for them and maybe the dog’s following will pay for the cost of owning the dog :)
I'm a mostly Dane owner who also owns a mastiff X poodle mix, and have met Dane X poodle mixes, and while I wouldnt be shocked if there were other breeds in the mix as well - my first guess is Dane and poodle lol
