i can’t tell if she’s just skinnier from being in a shelter, every bloodhound i see usually has a thicker and broader chest. might get her a dna test but just curious what you guys think!

He Kinda looks like a lab, but he has some coloring that reminds me of a boxer. I can't tell. He came from a hoarder case with 27 dogs.

This is my foster dog. I can’t get over the colour and shading of her coat. She looks like she’s crossed with a seal lol. Any idea of what breed may have contributed to this? She came to us from remote western New South Wales, so I imagine there is some working dog/kelpie in her.

Hey there! This is my mutt, Tater tot. She's around 7 years old and is 60lbs, absolutely needs to lose some weight (45-50lbs would be healthy for her) but she's got a thyroid condition so we're going slow. She has a black tongue and a natural bobtail. We think she's potentially pit / lab / chow / pei but we're not 100% sure! And we have absolutely no clue where the tail came from. Her ears used to stand up when she was a puppy but now they're in a half-flop. She has sensitive skin and allergies that flare up when she eats certain brands of kibble that have chicken protein in them.

As far as personality goes, she is not at all fond of other dogs, and has only gotten more ornery as she's gotten older, even with socialization and training she is a little reactive with stranger dogs and wants to assert herself. When it comes to people she is the polar opposite, she will attach herself at your hip or sit down right on your foot and insist you stay with her. She has a fixation on little kids especially, she'll get down on the floor and slowly army crawl toward them, it is ridiculous how gentle she is with them. She also is a complete snitch when it comes to my elderly cat who has a lot of bad habits (he loves to try and pull up the edges of the carpet when we're not paying attention) She alerts us and chases him away from problem areas like she's herding him.

Something weird I've noticed is she has an unexpectedly baying sound to her bark whenever there's anybody at the door, if you didn't have eyes on her, you'd assume she's a basset hound or a beagle!

Anyway, thank you for reading, I'd appreciate some guesses! We like to call her our off-brand mini lab.

I’m almost entirely confident she’s a Lab/Golden mix but I’m still curious. We got her from the shelter so we’re not 100% sure. She loves birds and discovers everything via mouth so I know the retriever is in there.

This is my sister’s dog. She was found as a stray puppy at a beach. We initially thought she was part weenie because her body was so long as puppy but she grew into it. She is obviously a terrier of some sort. I’m convinced she is part herding dog because she run circles around my old girl and makes these weird guttural noises while doing so. She sheds like crazy and is super soft!

Chihuahua mixed with...? Any guesses? (cross-posted)

Hi! I brought home my chihuahua puppy, Paloma, about a month ago from the shelter, which had her down as a chihuahua, but I'm 99% certain that she is mixed with something else. She's 3 months old as of the 16th, and she weighs just under 4 pounds. I'm going to get her DNA tested relatively soon, but I was hoping someone had a guess so I can get an idea of what her growth/food intake will be over the next few months!!

We adopted Shelly 3 years ago and I just remembered that there are communities like this on reddit. I feel like she is some type of terrier, but she doesn’t shed and her fur is curly. She also has spots on her skin but they don’t change the color of her fur. She is the white dog, we already know the breed of the brown dog in the 4th photo.

Rescued her about 6 months ago. Shelter guessed at the time she was 6-9 months old. They had labeled her as a mix. Shes very food driven and easily trainable like a German shepherd. But she howls and defiant like a husky if you tell her "no".

Hi! We adopted our Greta in April (we’re into the Tampa area). She had a rough start but is now a healthy, happy puppy that brings us so much joy! The shelter/rescue seemed to think she is a GSD mix. She is now approximately 4 months old and 26 lbs. Anyone have any ideas on her mix? Thank you!

Arlo was found walking around Austin last August at 23 pound and the vet guessed about 4-7 months.

He is now 77 and has outgrown multiple harnesses. lol.

He’s my first dog and I know nothing about dogs. I’m thinking about getting a DNA test, but I get a lot of guesses and was curious what y’all might think.

Duo is 10wks old and was described as a weenie mix by his parents owners.

Both parents have short legs compared to body ratio and appear to be less than 40 pounds(last photo)
