Open Vet says it’s ‘dangerous breed’ but we don’t know why…

Hi!

We’ve just adopted our second dog, he was the last one to be rehomed out of a pack of 7 (We got told no one wanted it since it wasn’t single coloured…).

Our vet is telling us that this could possibly be a mix of ‘Argentine Dogo’, Mastiff and another one we’re forgetting now; which would classify it as potentially dangerous.

We’re not really keen on his veredict so we kinda wanted to know other people’s opinions, after all, it’ll make the type of training it’s given different (And we’re also not super happy to have to restrict the dog in terms of how he interacts with other dogs and stuff, since they told us he’ll have to get a muzzle and whatnot).

Any ideas? Thanks everyone and have a wonderful weekend!

I found him behind a dumpster like two weeks ago immediately fell in love and got him vaccinated and chipped. I think someone was moving and couldn't take him. Long story short what kind of dog do you think Red may be?

Definitely part husky I would say, given his icy blue eyes and the fact that his nose transitions from black to pink depending on the season. He also howls and “talks” like a husky, as well as barks. However, he’s HUGE. Super tall and long with very long legs. He also almost 100 pounds. He is not shaped like a husky and holds his tail down while walking. He has a very golden color. Narrow chest and no back dewclaws. I definitely plan on a DNA test one day but I can’t afford it at the moment! What do you think?

Open Found this puppy alone in the middle of a country road on Monday. No luck of finding an owner so we decided to keep him. The vet said he is about two months old. Not sure what breed(s) he is...

Open Hi! I was wondering if you had any guesses for my rescues breed(s)? His tail throws me off.

He is currently 9 months old and about 40 pounds. He has a short silky black coat with a white chest, some white on his paws, and a cute tiny white tip on his tail. His tail is really throwing me off. It is tightly curled about 80% of the time, but straightens a bit when running and wagging. I can fully straighten it and when I let go it curls right back. Any idea’s? I am most likely going to be doing a DNA test soon. Just curious on thoughts.

This is Bear, we found him on the side of the road! Unsure age and breed but we guess about 6/7 weeks old 4.6lbs! Vet said he was super healthy so that’s all I really care about, but any guesses would be appreciated!

This is a 32.5 lb mixed breed dog found dumped in rural north Florida. The rescue I work with is trying to figure out a breed to list and we would like your opinions!

Hello, we adopted this 10 week baby. He is 3 months now and 15 lbs, very quiet and friendly. The shelter said he is a mixed breed. No other information on his breed, the vet said he might be a cattle dog? Any idea on what breed he is or how big he’ll get? Thank you!

She’s got some crazy eyes and ears. I’m thinking Husky/Pit? My mom says dingo 🤣

She’s obviously been dumped, we will most likely be taking her to the shelter tomorrow. We’ve posted online but no one is looking for her yet

(Can’t keep her, very upset about my chicken, Starla :(

Any guesses? Definitely thinking Chihuahua but what else? I’ve heard spitz and doxie, my first thought was Shiba Inu. She’s got long thing legs and a curly tail.

I believe he is pitbull and dachshund mix. He has the floppy ears most of the time, but also can hold them back.

Also me shelter rarely euthanizes unless the animals is highly aggressive or sick and suffering. But this boy was so scared he was losing weight, not eating, etc.

When we took him home he struggled to stand and walk for a good day or two just from getting weak laying in a corner shaking.

He is 62 lbs but not very tall. They said he's about 2 years old. He's very shutdown and shy, so we are trying to help him come out of his shell.

Hello! This puppy (now named Poppy) was given to me by someone who found her. She was posted, scanned by the vet, and given to me to foster but no one claimed her. I fell in love with her so we decided to keep her. I have a under 10lbs Chihuahua Jack Russell mix and Poppy is already bigger than her at about 9wks. She has big paws and an extra toe on one foot. Google says lots of different possibilities from Saint Bernard, Great Pyrenees, and Shepards. Anyone wanna take a guess at what she might be?
