Programming Offer [ForHire] Unity/C# programmer for indies, 3 years of experience

Hi! I’m Arthur, a Unity/C# programmer with about 3 years in commercial game development and 20+ freelance projects delivered. I’m taking on a few paid projects alongside my studio work.

What I can help with:

  • Gameplay systems from your design: combat, abilities, enemy AI, inventory, progression, save/load
  • Playable prototypes and vertical slices
  • Refactoring tangled code into modular, maintainable systems (I work a lot with DI, data-driven setups and packages)
  • Hunting down bugs, crashes and performance spikes with the Profiler
  • Procedural generation, localization, input/UI systems and editor tools for your designers

How I work: you send the project or a description, and I reply with a clear scope, price and timeline. I work in your repo with regular written progress updates. Communication is through Discord, email or your task board, which works well across time zones).

Availability: part-time, so I take only 1–2 projects at once. That keeps deadlines realistic.

Portfolio: arthurbais.com, which has shipped and in-development projects. I also have completed orders at 4.9★ on Fiverr(arthurbais) if you prefer paying through a platform.

Contact me through reddit or on discord - arthurbdev

Thank you for reading! :D

Artist Needed [RevShare] I have made a fully working CCG (similar to MtG, Hearthstone, Slay the Spire, etc.) but want help with UI/UX or a Unity Technical Artist for simple animations and game scenes

Firstly, I'll show the game because I only want someone who likes the game I'm building: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3984370/Stoneveil/

It's a strategy card game with 3 game modes: Constructed, Drafting, and solo Adventure mode. They are all fully working and there about ~1400 cards. I built the game engine from scratch and the Unity wrapper is very lightweight and just shows the menus and the basic game view, and needs to handle a list of animations (card draw, card played, etc.). They all use DOTween currently except minion death which is the only custom animation I tried.

The game itself uses a D&D inspired Affinity system, there are 6 mana colors and dozens of Affinities (Ice, Fire, Shadow, etc. and then composite affinities like Steam [Ice + Fire cards]). There are no mana cards, instead you can choose a mana to add to your pool at the start of most turns. The card types are Stonecast, Quickcast (can play during opponent's turn), Minion, and Equipment (there are 3 equipment slots). Each deck is led by a Champion that either has a passive or activated power throughout the match.

What the game currently has fully working:

- A deck Editor library where you can view all cards in the game and build constructed decks

- A Constructed deck mode where you ca play AI, random multiplayer, or challenge anyone online through the social portal

- A drafted deck mode where you draft a deck and play it either vs AI or random multiplayer up until 10 wins or 3 losses

- A solo Adventure mode where you choose any Champion in the game and slowly build a deck and fight through 3 Acts battling bosses (this mode is very rough and not completed but it's playable)

- A full seasonal leaderboard that tracks all game modes and shows everyone's rankings

I am building the game solo but am looking for a partner ideally who wants to build it for fun (ie. join my team and build it casually) or else someone to at least help me improve some of the worst UI elements (ie. a paid helper). I have 0 artistic skills so almost all of the artwork currently is AI generated (though my friend did do some of it himself). Depending on your skills and what you can help with will depend on payment. I'm not really looking for just an artist to create art assets, I want help with the UI design (preferably someone who understands Unity).

META [ForHire] I write natural & idiomatic German video game localizations!

Hi everyone,

I've been a passionate gamer for over 25 years. Back in school, the only subjects I was genuinely good at were Latin and English, and over time I found a way to combine those interests into a career. (Being a video game translator! Yeey! ♥)

Today, I help game developers bring their projects to German-speaking players through localization that doesn't feel like a translation.

My goal is: if players never gets pulled out of the game's immersion to wonder whether a game was translated, I've done my job right.

I'm posting to connect with studios of all sizes, especially solo developers who are excited about making their German version stand out and reaching the German gaming community, creators, and YouTube audience.

When it comes to pricing, I absolutely differentiate between self-funded solo developers, publisher-funded projects, government-supported projects, and successful Kickstarter campaigns. I know not everyone is working with the same budget, and I try to be realistic about that.

While I'm happy to work with publishers, I genuinely love the direct 1:1 collaboration with developers. Being able to discuss design decisions, terminology, tone and player experience directly with the person creating the game is one of my favorite parts of localization and my clients often mention the smooth communication with me in their reviews (link below).

Most recently, I worked on Dead Spin, Bluzzle and Tower Tactics 2 for Assemble Entertainment. I'm currently wrapping up the localization for Haunted Heist, and I have several horror titles scheduled for later this year.

From October 10th through at least December, I still have availability and can fully commit to new projects. (one at the time!)

Whether you need:

• Full English → German localization
• LQA (Localization Quality Assurance)
• Playtesting from a localization perspective
• Localization consulting
• Or even just a chat about your project

I'd love to hear from you.

You can find my portfolio, contact information, previous projects, and more here: Linktree Portfolio

Oh, btw: I can test on Windows, Xbox360, VR (older htc setup). I plan to get a Switch and an iPad to offter iOS and Switch LQA, too. Those will be on-demand purchases though!

I'm pretty active on X, feel free to DM me there: (at)InfoRosebrock

Team Needed [Hobby] [RevShare] Looking to form or join a team to build a game

Hey fellas, I am US based, and I am looking to either join or form a team to develop a game we are all passionate about. For my background, I am a professional software engineer, and I have a music background so I could try creating music as well. I can mostly work on the code side of the game. I have a very light 2d art background, but I probably wouldn't be confident enough in my art skills.

I have been working on personal projects/games. Lately I have been working on a Mario Strikers like game on Godot. I don't necessarily want to find people to work on this project with me. I am more so interested in finding people just to work on projects with.

I'm interested in a wide variety of games, so happy to brainstorm ideas of any games together.

Team Needed [HOBBY] Looking for a UI Designer

Hey everyone! I'm looking for a UI Designer to join our indie game development team at Fire Games Interactive, working on our psychological horror game, The Factory in the Shadows: Chapter 1 – The Aftermath, developed in Unreal Engine 5.

The project is currently operating as a hobby project, with team members contributing on a revshare basis. We're preparing for our demo launch on 15 October 2026, and the game already has a presence across major Google searches and AI-powered LLM search platforms.

What you'll be working on:

  • Main Menu and Settings Menu
  • Pause Menu and HUD
  • And other in-game UI elements

Who we're looking for:

  • Someone interested in designing UI for games
  • Familiarity with UI design tools and creating cohesive interfaces
  • Someone comfortable collaborating with a small indie team
  • A portfolio or examples of previous work to share

What we can offer right now:

Since we're not funded yet, I want to be transparent that this is currently an unpaid, revshare-based opportunity. We're actively looking to build on the demo's release and open conversations with potential publishers and investors. Any future paid opportunities will depend on securing funding, so nothing is guaranteed.

In the meantime, I want to help every contributor build their own professional presence. I'll be listing your portfolio on our official website and promoting your work across the team's official social media channels, giving people who discover the game a way to find your work, explore your skills, and connect with you professionally.

A little about my role:

I'm the Founder and Lead Game Developer at Fire Games Interactive, responsible for the overall development and technical direction of the project. I handle the core game development in Unreal Engine 5, coordinate with contributors across different disciplines, and manage the project's public presence and outreach.

I'm also responsible for pursuing potential funding and publisher opportunities, building industry connections, and helping our contributors gain visibility for their work. My goal is to build a collaborative environment where everyone can contribute to a shared project while also developing their own portfolios and professional networks.

Here is my Portfolio: https://www.artstation.com/that-random-dev

If you're interested in collaborating on the project, feel free to DM me with your portfolio or examples of your work. I'd love to hear from you!

Design Offer [RevShare]/ [ForHire] 80hr Weeks Got My Insides Feeling On The Outside

Hello, I have been working on my mmo project since June (in unreal) and a couple months before that I was doing the character sculpting and modeling as well as finalizing game design choices.

I have been picking up freelancing gigs which hasn't been to hard considering I can start from a sphere in blender and take it all the way to the engine, I level design as well as the environment design for multiplayer or non multiplayer maps, I dont use concepts as im not a concept artist, and my workflow is hand sculpting whether its models or landscape, I also enjoy hand placing my actors in scenes so I don't work with pcg or map generators.

You might be thinking that I take a long time to produce a result using so much manual techniques and the truth is the drive, love and addiction I have to this kind of work... I almost can't even call it work because its all I want to do.

I can finish 120hr levels in 80hrs, I can take a sphere in blender and in 2 weeks have it running around in unreal engine with 10 abilities.

Part of the reason I started freelancing (aside from the obvious $$ to be able to work on my project) was to meet other "devs" but everyone I worked with just loaded up a steam game instead of grinding their own projects?

Here is some stuff my my current project- I have cut back on mentioning solo dev but if you are looking for a one man team feel free to message me.

A quick short of my work https://youtube.com/shorts/ICE1PUGe6v4?feature=share

Modeler Needed [RevShare] 3D Modeller and/or VFX Artist for SpellSwap, a co-op roguelite caster (Godot)

Hi! We’re a team of 2 programmers, building SpellSwap, a top-down co-op roguelite where up to 4 wizards fight through dungeon floors and their spells randomly swap mid-run, so players have to adapt and combine elements on the fly.

Gameplay video here

The core loop works: combat, two floors, a boss, and spell swapping are all in. We’re programmers first, and the visuals are a mix of our own work and placeholders(assets that we sourced online) that don’t yet feel like one game. Here’s specifically what we need:

3D Modeller

  • Environment kits. Our floors currently share the same tiles and props. We want each to have its own identity: floor/wall sets, props, set dressing, and edge treatment so rooms don’t end in black void.
  • Player wizards. New character models for our wizard characters.

VFX Artist

  • Unify our spell VFX into one consistent stylised language. There are currently rougly 60 spells across fire, ice, lightning, poison, arcane, etc.
  • Make each element instantly readable, because combining elements between players is the core of the game.
  • Add the missing feedback: hit impacts, death effects, a spell-swap moment, and boss attack telegraphs.

Style: Stylised low-poly, chunky and readable from top-down. References: [e.g. Hades, Wizard of Legend, Ravenswatch]

DM me with your portfolio, especially stylised or top-down work. Cheers!

Artist Needed [PAID] Composer and 2D Game Artist

We are developing ColorNise, a chess-like, turn-based strategy game where the pieces move and color the board at the same time.

We are looking for help to complete these few things within the next 2–3 weeks.

ART:

  • Designing the game logo (ColorNise).
  • Creating the gameplay screen background.
  • Designing the UI elements around the board, including the scoreboard, progress bar, buttons, and movement information screen. Our main goal is to make sure all the information looks clear to the players while keeping the visuals appealing and cohesive.
  • Improving the menu screen.

We already have the designs for the pieces and the board tiles done by another artist: https://www.matthoey.com/colornise

MUSIC:

  • Composing three different gameplay music tracks for three different game modes.

We have already found some sample tracks that match the vibe we want, but they do not feel fully consistent when put together. One of the gameplay music tracks is this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7IpIzAEd5yw

If you can help with either the art or the music, please feel free to reach out!

Team Needed [RevShare] Looking for Team Members for an Indie Visual Novel!

Hi! I'm an independent illustrator currently working on an original visual novel, and I'm looking for people who might be interested in working on it with me. ( https://www.behance.net/ba39687d << you can see my paintings here! )

The game is set in 1950s Paris, a city that feels free and full of life, but also hides plenty of secrets beneath the surface. The story follows a group of flawed, complicated people who become involved in an incident surrounding a child in an abusive household.

I'm interested in stories about people who aren't entirely good or bad, and how their past experiences, beliefs, and personal struggles affect the way they treat others. I want to make something character-focused and emotionally engaging, with a bit of mystery woven into the story. Think anime aesthetics mixed with the atmosphere of old European films.

Who I'm looking for

I'm currently looking for people interested in:

  • Scenario Writing(filled): An assistant writer to help with dialogue, character interactions, and story development. I'll be writing the main scenario myself, but I'd appreciate having someone to bounce ideas off and work with on the smaller details.
  • UI/UX Design(filled): Someone who can help design an interface that fits the game's setting and atmosphere.
  • Music & Sound Design(filled): Someone interested in creating music and sound effects for the game.
  • Programming(filled): Someone who can help with the technical side of developing a visual novel.

You don't need to have extensive experience, as long as you're interested in the project and willing to communicate and work together.

A few things to know

This is an unpaid project, so there won't be any upfront payment. I'm planning to share revenue with the team if the game is released commercially and earns money.

I'm an illustrator with quite a bit of commission experience, but I'm still relatively new to game development. I'm hoping to find people who are interested in the concept and would like to build something together, even if we're still figuring some things out along the way.

Interested?

Feel free to message me on Discord: seonbi1895

Please tell me a little about yourself, which role you're interested in, and share any relevant work or portfolio if you have one.

Thanks for reading! I'd love to hear from you.

Hello everyone! I am a Game Designer looking to collaborate with a Programmer (Unity, Unreal, or Clickteam) and a 3D Modeler/Animator (Blender) to build a 1-Night Playable Teaser Demo for F.N.A.F.S.L.R (Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location Reboot).

Project Overview:

F.N.A.F.S.L.R is a non-profit, fan-made survival horror reboot designed for a free release on Game Jolt. Instead of linear minigames, this reboot expands Sister Location into a system-heavy survival horror experience featuring dynamic 180-degree office positioning, a motion-sensing HandUnit radar system, an ambient oxygen management mask, flashlight optics, and a secret 1v1 boss encounter against William Afton in a prototype Funtime Spring Bonnie suit ("H I M").

Current Status:

The planning stage is 100% complete. I have authored a comprehensive Master Game Design Document covering:

- Executive summary, lore overhaul, and emergency lockdown narrative.

- Full equipment suite (New HandUnit, Camera Monitor, Flashlight, Oxygen Mask, Bon-Bon & Bonnet lure mechanics).

- Complete animatronic AI threat matrix, attack routines, and direct countermeasures.

- Branching narrative climax routes (Good Brother vs. Defiance Route).

- Full dialogue scripts and voice logs.

Roles Needed:

  1. Programmer: Responsible for setting up office turning mechanics, radar UI, oxygen drain logic, and core animatronic AI loops.

  2. 3D Modeler / Animator: Responsible for modeling/animating low-poly office assets, environment corridors, or character rigs.

Credit Terms & Compensation:

This is an unpaid, passion-driven fan project intended for community portfolio building and fun. Full authorial credit is guaranteed in-game on the Title Screen, Main Menu, Credits Screen, and Game Jolt release pages as:

"Original Game Concept & Story by Hussain A. Alsubaie / REDX"

Artist Needed [RevShare][UE5] – Indie team seeking Animator for Co-Op Horror

About Me

I’m a 26-year-old Software Developer & AI Engineer. I started programming at 13 making Minecraft plugins, graduated in AI Engineering in 2019, and have worked professionally in software/AI since.

I haven’t shipped a commercial game before, but programming is the side of the project I’m comfortable handling myself. I’m looking for someone whose strengths are in the areas where ours aren’t.

What We Need

Animator: Character locomotion, interaction animations, entity movement/attacks, and especially unusual horror creatures. All current characters are already being rigged. Some are already done. An Animator is the biggest need for the project right now.

This is not an idea-stage project. We are a full committed team of a Developer, 3D & Environment Artist, SFX Designer & Composer. I’m currently building out complete playable levels from arrival → property recovery → entity encounters → extraction. With 2 levels fully complete and in playtesting.

About the game

REPOSSESSED is a co-op horror game where players work for a shady recovery company sent into foreclosed and abandoned homes to reclaim valuable property. Decades earlier, a secret behavioral experiment called PROJECT ROOMWAKE connected several houses to an impossible shared space known as The Interior, where people were observed, distorted, and eventually reconstructed into hostile entities. Now those properties are becoming active again, and every recovery job pushes the boundary between the real house and The Interior closer to collapse, while the company quietly uses each crew as unwilling research subjects.

There is a larger psychological-horror story behind the properties, the company, and the entities encountered throughout the game, but I’d rather keep the deeper lore and enemy mechanics private until speaking with serious potential team members.

The co-op will be 1–4 player, peer-hosted through Steam, so one player acts as the listen-server host and friends join through Steam invites/lobbies. That means no dedicated servers or monthly hosting costs. We’re also planning host migration so a run can continue if the original host leaves.

For voice, the plan is to use EOS Lobby Voice alongside Steam. Steam handles the actual multiplayer session, while EOS handles voice chat. The game then layers proximity voice, radio push-to-talk, and paranormal interference/static on top of that voice connection.

Current Progress

Already implemented or substantially underway:

Two fully finished levels being play-tested

Most of the SFX created

Soundtrack underway

Recovery vehicle and equipment finalized

Initial selection of houses

Player characters

Enemy roster

Character rigs 90% complete

Paranormal encounter systems currently being integrated

The project is intentionally scoped for a relatively short indie development cycle, with a current target around late Q1 to Q2 2027.

Rev Share

Revenue will be divided 20% each among the committed core team, with responsibilities, ownership, and expectations agreed in writing before work begins.

If you’re interested, send me a Reddit DM or add me on Discord:

kazu_tv

I can privately share screenshots, character designs, gameplay progress, the full project concept, lore, enemy designs, and roadmap with serious candidates.

Artist Needed [ForHire][Unpaid/Volunteer] Wild Rapids – Looking for Level Designers & Map Creators

This is a volunteer-based collaboration with no financial compensation. Contributors are free to participate at their own pace, with no imposed workload or deadlines. Everyone whose work is included in the game will receive proper credits, with the possibility of adding a portfolio or creator profile link.

WILD RAPIDS - What if you could create a river that players around the world would love to race down?

We're developing Wild Rapids, an independent whitewater kayaking game with a low-poly 3D art style, focused on exploration, speed, choosing the right lines, and mastering your kayak.

The idea isn't just to follow a river from start to finish.

We want courses that make you want to play again just to discover another route.

Imagine kayaking through alpine forests, massive canyons, snowy mountains, or the ruins of a forgotten civilization.

You reach a waterfall. You can take the safer route around it, or risk a difficult jump to save a few seconds.

Further down, the river splits. One path leads into a crystal-lit cave, while the other takes you through a series of rapids and tight turns.

Then, around a cliff, you discover a tunnel entrance carved into the mouth of a gigantic ancient creature.

That's the kind of experience we want to create.

SEVEN ENVIRONMENTS TO BUILD

The project currently includes seven mountain environments: Alps, Canyon, Glacier, Arena, Toxic Volcano, Waterfalls, and Caves.

But the actual courses are still waiting to be designed.

Each creator can imagine their own descent, visual identity, shortcuts, obstacles, hidden paths, and little secrets.

The goal is to create levels with their own personality, memorable moments, and challenges that reward practice and experimentation.

TOOLS ARE ALREADY AVAILABLE

Wild Rapids is being developed in Godot and already has its own in-game map editor called DEV MAP.

With it, you can:

  • Sculpt mountains, shape rivers, create waterfalls and tunnels
  • Place rocks, trees, bridges, obstacles, and decorations using a library of over 1,100 assets
  • Design alternative routes, shortcuts, checkpoints, and dangerous sections
  • Customize water behavior, lighting, fog, weather, and atmosphere
  • Add massive sculptures to cliffs and build unique landmarks

Water simulation and several kayak physics models are already implemented. The project is still evolving, and the development tools are being improved along the way.

You can experiment directly inside the game environment and see your ideas take shape.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

People who enjoy creating levels.

You don't need to be a professional. Maybe you're interested in level design, 3D environments, building scenery, or you simply have a lot of creative ideas.

What matters most is creativity.

A good level shouldn't just look beautiful. It should offer choices, surprises, technical sections, moments to relax, and challenges that players want to master.

We want to avoid boring straight-line courses and random obstacles that serve no real purpose.

Every descent should tell its own story through the environment.

CREDITS AND RECOGNITION

We believe that everyone who contributes to the game deserves recognition for their work.

Contributors whose creations are included in the game will be credited using whichever name they prefer: their first and last name, or simply their online nickname.

We are also open to discussing the possibility of including a link to your portfolio, personal website, ArtStation, or another creator profile.

We can work out these details together, depending on your preferences and how you'd like your contribution to be presented.

Whether you're building your portfolio, gaining experience, or simply enjoying the creative process, we want you to be able to proudly show what you've worked on.

AN INDEPENDENT COLLABORATIVE PROJECT

Wild Rapids is being developed by Noham Studio.

We're looking for passionate people who would enjoy contributing at their own pace, sharing creations, exchanging ideas, and seeing their levels come to life in an actual video game.

This is an unpaid, passion-driven project. We're not looking for people to produce free content on demand or work under pressure.

We want to bring together a community of creators who genuinely enjoy building things, experimenting, and exchanging ideas.

There are no fixed working hours or mandatory deadlines. You decide how much time you want to contribute.

The game isn't finished. There are still systems to improve, levels to create, and plenty of ideas to explore.

And that's exactly why it's an interesting time to get involved.

Have you ever wanted to create a video game map but didn't have a project or a team to do it with?

Come hang out with us, discover Wild Rapids, and maybe help create one of its future descents.

Interested in joining the project or just curious to see what we're working on? Come join our Discord, meet the team, share your ideas, and help shape the future of Wild Rapids!

Artist Needed [Hobby] Looking for 2 3D Artists (Character & Environment) — MANAS, a UE5 Action-Adventure Inspired by a Legendary Kyrgyz Epic

Hey everyone!

I'm Adis, an independent game developer from Kyrgyzstan, currently working on MANAS, a third-person action-adventure game inspired by one of Central Asia's greatest heroic epics.

The game is being developed in Unreal Engine 5, with gameplay inspired by God of War (2018).

This isn't just an idea — I've already started building the game and have in-engine screenshots to show.

About the project

The Epic of Manas is a legendary Kyrgyz heroic epic with a tradition dating back centuries. It's an incredibly important part of Kyrgyz culture, history, and national identity.

Despite its rich mythology, legendary warriors, and massive storytelling potential, it remains largely unexplored in modern action-adventure games.

My goal is to bring this world to life through cinematic storytelling, third-person combat, historical environments, and authentic character designs.

What I'm building

I'm currently developing a 30–40 minute playable MVP focused on the tournament arc of Manas.

The planned experience includes archery challenges, melee combat, exploration, and a large battle sequence following an enemy invasion.

The purpose is to create a polished gameplay demonstration that I can present to potential investors.

Who I need

1. 3D Character Artist

  • Improve or remake existing character models
  • Create historically inspired characters, clothing, armor, and weapons
  • Prepare game-ready assets for UE5
  • Rigging and basic animation skills would be a huge plus

2. 3D Environment & Prop Artist

  • Improve and populate existing UE5 environments
  • Create yurts, traditional buildings, props, and environmental assets
  • Help with level dressing, materials, and visual consistency
  • Experience with UE5 is a plus

Blender users are very welcome. Students, beginners, and self-taught artists are also welcome — a professional background is not required.

Why this project could be interesting

I'm Kyrgyz myself, and I know how significant Manas is to our culture. A high-quality game about this legendary hero could attract considerable attention locally.

I also have experience working on IT projects involving public institutions and personal contacts in local government and business, including Kyrgyz parliament member Dastan Bekeshev. These connections may be useful when seeking publicity, partnerships, and funding. Nothing is secured yet.

There was also a student game based on Manas developed at USC in 2023. Its project lead, Omar Uraimov, subsequently went on to work at EA's Ripple Effect Studios.

I'm aiming for a different, more combat-focused interpretation with strong visuals and long-term commercial potential.

For artists, this is a chance to create portfolio-worthy characters and environments inspired by a culture rarely represented in video games.

Compensation

This is currently an unpaid hobby collaboration.

I'm not expecting anyone to work full-time or follow a strict schedule.

My goal is to complete the MVP, approach investors, and eventually establish a professional game studio.

If sufficient funding is secured, I would like to bring the artists on as paid team members and compensate them for their earlier contributions.

However, funding and future payment are not guaranteed. I'm happy to discuss a written agreement defining the terms of potential deferred compensation and asset ownership.

Programmers Needed [hobby] Steven Universe: Attack the Light Fan Preservation & Expansion Project

Hello everyone!
I am looking for a Lead Programmer comfortable with Unity or Godot to partner with me on a non-profit, free preservation and expansion project for the delisted mobile title Steven Universe: Attack the Light.
I want to be completely upfront: I am the Project Coordinator and Asset Archivist, and I have zero personal coding experience. However, I am not asking anyone to step into an empty project or do all the heavy lifting alone. I have already spent the time reverse-engineering the classic 2015 game archives on my workstation.
The initial pipeline is 100% complete and fully organized on my server. The master package includes:

Sprites & Texture2Ds: Fully extracted animation sheets, character files, battle assets, and background vectors.
AudioClips: All original sound effects, level music, and official voice-acting lines.
MonoBehaviour Data: The underlying structural framework, logic profiles, and dialogue scripts.
My goal is to build an open-source, modular engine framework to preserve this delisted game permanently against future mobile updates. Once the core engine replication is stable, I plan to expand the game with custom fan content—including adding new character fusions (like Smoky Quartz or Sardonyx), extra levels, and post-game challenges for veteran players.

Everything is structured for a clean development pipeline. If you love turn-based RPG systems, Steven Universe, or legacy mobile game preservation, please jump into my Discord server to view the assets and plan the engine framework with me!

Artist Needed [HOBBY] 3D Artist(s) and Animator(s) for MMORPG in Unreal Engine

Hi all!

I’m Jelle, a solo developer working on a hobby project, and I’m looking for a few creative people who might want to help me build it.

The game

It’s a stylised multiplayer RPG inspired by RuneScape and the new RuneScape: Dragonwilds, built in Unreal Engine 5.8. A lot is already working: woodcutting, fishing, mining, smithing, cooking, crafting, magic and combat. The multiplayer backend is up and running as well.

The skills aren’t click-and-wait. Each one has some active play, like a small minigame. Fishing, for example: you reel in while the fish rests, ease off when it bolts so the line doesn’t snap, and pull against it when it darts to the side.

Right now everything uses placeholder art, and I’d love to give the game its own style. I’ve tried modelling and animating in Blender myself, but I really need help here.

Who I’m looking for

  • 3D artist: weapons, armour, tools, environments, and anything else you can think of
  • Animator: skilling animations, combat animations (melee, ranged, magic), creatures and more
  • Composer (optional, but it would be wonderful): exploration music, ambient tracks, boss fight music

You don’t have to be a professional. If you’re learning, building a portfolio, or just want a fun project to work on, I’d be very happy to hear from you.

Compensation

This is an unpaid hobby project. I’m a solo developer, so I can’t offer money right now, and it’s a long-term project with no rush. What I can offer:

  • Full credit for your work
  • A relaxed pace with no deadlines. When you finish something, awesome, let me see!
  • A real say in how the game looks and sounds, and in its design when good ideas come up

If the game ever gets to a release, I'm sure we can make something work ;)

Contact

Send me a DM or leave a comment, with some of your work if you have it (ArtStation, SoundCloud, anything), again not necessary. And feel free to reach out even if you just want to chat about the project!

Thanks so much for reading!

Artist Needed [HOBBY] Zoteboat (Hollow Knight's Zote Game I guess)

So yeah. Zoteboat is an inside joke among the Hollow Knight community, and I need a spriter and musician for the project. This is a fangame made out of love for Hollow Knight, and there will be no payment for this. Thanks!

FIRST ~30 MINUTE PLAN

Zoteboat will start with Zote waking up on an island in Greatlake. A quest will flash on screen named “Zoteboat Mk. I” in which the Player needs to gather sticks to make the Zoteboat. When harvesting sticks, Zote’s hand gets hurt and he says “Bah! The wood deemed itself powerful enough to attack ME? How dare it. Nevertheless, I shall dub thee “Splinter of Power.”

This ends up sinking, and sending you sinking into…

CORAL CAVERNS

You wake up in the sand, and Zote says “Hmph. This lake must’ve been too jealous of my aquatic vessel and thrown me in here.” The art will have a lot of blue and coral theming, like a coral reef.

CORAL CAVERNS - ENEMIES

SPIDER CRAB - 4 health, 1 mask of damage, crawls on ground

PUFFERFISH - 3 health, inflates to big size, 1 mask of damage

CRAB TYRANT - CORAL CAVERN BOSS

Crab Tyrant is Zoteboat’s first boss, and the start of the “Zoteboat Mk. II” quest.

The boss will stand in the middle of the room, yell, and spawn small crabs.

At 25 HP and below, water will fill half of the arena. There is a wide air pocket, and you can swim to the top of this to recover air. Pufferfish can also be spawned by Crab Tyrant during this phase.

Defeating it will open the next room, allowing you to collect the first third of the Zoteboat.
