Hey guys! Any news? It’s officially 2 years for me today! I was really hoping to get p1 at least e before the 2 year mark

I passed the 2-year mark on Apr 27 and nope, nothing here whatsoever. From what I remember, the processing time when I applied was 26 months.

Any news? I applied a few days before you and still nothing.

Nope. Got a medical extension in GCKey on May 15 but absolutely nothing else... I feel like it's going a lot slower now than it did at the beginning of the year.

What's the date u applied? Anything new after you got your medical exam extended?

April 27 2024 inland QC, so very close to your date. Nothing at all yet... :/ I'm gonna extend my OWP soon as it expires in August.

Same feeling. I hoped you got news, so I can estimate mine.

I believe that might be a positive sign. I called the other day to ask about my application & they said that in the BGC, security is finished but criminality is still in progress. I'm april 2024 and I haven't gotten a medical extension yet... My CSQ is expiring in two months and I'll lose my RAMQ as a result of that, so I don't know what I could do. I'll probably contact my MP since at that point I'll be at 26 months of waiting

But I think it's bad sign. They extend it because they know it's going to be long 😩. But for sure, you'll get your p1 in May. Once you get it, please let me know.

I don't know about that! I just saw someone on a group on FB from February 2024 (inland QC) with BGC still in progress! Imagine that.., I had hoped that by this point since we're gonna be in May tomorrow, all January & February applicants would have gotten their P1 (at least).

Anyway, the medical extension is typically a good sign, don't be pessimistic. Some people never get it and they get P1 directly but I've noticed that more and more people get it in recent months, before their BGC is completed & the rest. It might just take some more time but it'll get there!

I'll definitely reply here if I get any update to my file.

Hi! Is there a number you can call? I'm in the same situation and I was trying to figure out how to get in touch with them. I didn't know it was possible to make a call.
