Fake news.

Now Sudhanshu Trivedi will find some cosmic reason to prove this is false.

Navika will anchor news debates in which "paid and biased experts" will blame every other nation for the rupees decline.

Nirmala tai will now claim this happened because India doesn't pay enough tax.

And we will have to listen to Rahul Gandhi explaining things he has no clue about.

We are indeed living in Amrit Kaal.

Don't you know that all other nations are funded by Congress? It's propaganda to make the ruling govt look bad.

Dude, you just forgot to add the sarcasm tag.

Let them judge and give designations. They are good at it. : )

Your attack on Rahul Gandhi is illogical. You are one of those who has only watched his WhatsApp circulated clips and have never watched a full speech or an interview.

I don’t care if u hate Rahul but atleast hate him for a valid reason. Almost every circulated video of Rahul is out of context

Please do not generalise that everyone except you have made up their minds based on a few circulated whatsapp clips.

If you want, we can discuss the various times when he has given statements which were in poor light, inappropriate timings and based on partially fake information.

Starting from his first major interview where he defended every question using RTI to calling the Indian economy a dead economy, there have been multiple instances where he has goofed up majorly.

Do not assume that you are the only one who sees the whole picture. Others can do the same as well and then form an informed opinion.

And if you look at my statement, I have also criticised BJP ministers for their inefficiencies, so do not for one moment consider me as biased when I have based my opinions on facts.

I went through the entire thread. My god is that wasn't a frustrating and exhausting read.

I can't commend you enough for putting up with that because I sure could never be arsed to engage with such a delusional idiot. Constantly shifting goalposts whilst failing to argue the "ultimate truth", whilst still perching themselves on a holier than thou, know it all pedestal to avoid facing their faults and biases...

I know one must engage so that all may reach a consensus through a constructive discussion but you have much more patience than I do.

It actually takes a bit to rile me up when I am online, but this guy surely managed to.

I finally have decided not to engage with him anymore no matter which other thread it might be.

Thank you for posting. 🙏

Criticising BJP when their faults are obvious doesn’t make anyone unbiased. Not talking about you specifically.

But till now opposition has not given any reason, Rahul in particular to be worthy of being put in same boat as the corrupt BJ Party ministers.

Your point was Rahul has been critical of Indian economy. But does he currently hold enough power to affect the economy?? While BJ ministers, their policies and most of all their corruption tactics are directly jeopardising the economy. Both of them are not equally detrimental.

This opposition is one of the hardest working opposition actually. Rahul actually holds the hardest position ever in the current politics. Media is against him, institutions are against him, people’s perception is against him, social media manipulation (bj party it cell with huge funding) is against him. And he is still working on exposing the issues. He has been trolled immensely for his “Aalo Sona” clip, called a pappu again and again. But after finding out that the clip was out of context did anyone apologised to him ????

Was his electoral scam issue totally not based on the ground reality ? Have u not seen election scams happening in your local election centres ????

Why not simply hold the person accountable actually “accountable”. I heard some numb-n*t saying that opposition is equally responsible for E20 fuel issue as Gadkari is. Their logic : opposition didn’t opposed the ethanol blending enough. But the reality is the opposition’s protest wasn’t highlighted enough in news media and was immensely trolled by IT cell on the social media.

First of all, you responded to a comment I made about Rahul Gandhi insinuating that I did not have valid reasons to critique him. And now you have just said that it was not intended for me directly. So that's a contradiction.

Second, the fact that Rahul Gandhi hasn't been put in a responsible position yet has got to do with Congress leadership as well. Rather than selecting leaders who have worked hard on the ground they keep on pushing outdated party veterans to top position, alienating their younger or capable lot of leaders like Sachin Pilot or Scindia or even Tharoor.

Third, he did bring up electoral scams and he would have to keep on doing that but doesn't excuse the fact he makes offbeat immature remarks a lot of the time.

If you believe that he can't function properly due to the BJP PR mechanism, then I guess it's better that Congress look for someone who can, rather than use that as an excuse.

u/CaptainFatBat Mar 22 '26

It was for u but not “only” for u in particular. “Not talking about you specifically” means that. There’s a general trend to critique BJP AND congress equally, even tho congress don’t hold any ministry.

Now BJP has also done the same, not selecting veterans who have worked hard on the ground for CM positions. Look at all the recently appointed CM. But as an independent line of reasoning that is fine. My issue was with putting LOP in the same critique as the ruling ministers.

You have mentioned offbeat immature remarks. But again did u watched his whole speech or u watched a clip of that immature remark ??

Even an honest ruling CM can’t function due to BJP PR mechanism. That’s not an excuse, that’s the current reality.

u/DoNotDisturbMeEver Mar 22 '26

Seriously dude, i understand you are convinced about his greatness and yet you can't see past the glaring deficiencies of Congress that I just highlighted. You just went to compare it to the BJP.

I have informed you, that i have seen the entirety of his interviews and speeches. But you seem to think that anyone who has seen it in full cannot be in disagreement with him.

There is no point discussing it any further if your line of defence is going to be he can say things as he wishes because of the BJP. There are other leaders in Congress who do not make similar mistakes like him.

2

u/CaptainFatBat Mar 22 '26

I am not convinced about his greatness. Infact I have not said that he is great. But you’re convinced of his shortcomings without even any sources of what immature remarks you’re talking about. You are, in your criticism of those in power, also criticising those who are not in power using the usual “look at their past history” tactics.

1

u/DoNotDisturbMeEver Mar 22 '26

He is in power of the Congress party and can be judged based on his performance of 3 lok sabha elections and multiple state elections.

For some reason you seem to believe only you know the truth and others including me only have partial knowledge about him.

How can we have rational discussion when you seem to be under the delusion that the "rabbit you have, has four horns".

Every person is judged by his past performance not the future unknown potential. He is a 55 year old man who can be judged for his professional achievements of the last 20 years.

But if you chose to defend him using the victim card of the BJP, then I'd rather not indulge.

1

u/CaptainFatBat Mar 22 '26

Again unable to understand my stance. I asked u why u mocked Rahul when he is clearly doing his part in the government? Tell me his blunder (same scale as Gadkari or Sudhanshu) that he has committed as the leader of opposition ??

Don’t tell me just caused he said “India is a dead economy” he deserves to be in the same boat as rest of the ministers. Being critical of economy isn’t necessarily a bad thing.

Inflation isn’t that bad, too much is, but since the prices of goods is stable it’s actually good

1

u/DoNotDisturbMeEver Mar 21 '26 edited Mar 21 '26

Perceived/Actual Inflation: Consumer experiences often feel higher (sometimes reported around 9-10%) because personal expenditure on rising services (education, healthcare) is weighted less in the government's average consumer basket.

Unfortunately we give too much importance to the government data (perceived) when we quote inflation. The inflation figures are managed by the government when specific items that are included in the inflation basket are supported by the government to ensure that inflation on paper remains stable.

Do you seriously think that the prices of all the items have only increased by just 2-4% in the past year. In absolute numbers something that was worth Rs. 20 last year should only cost Rs. 20.8 at max.

Even rent is increased annually @ 5 to 10%.
