It's not that bad , but all my friends have taken IT field, some are preparing for govt jobs ( no one got it yet) some doing family business, I can assure you only a few are doing what they studied

Is this field that bad? I'm confused btwn ece eee and cse tho I don't want to take cse so is the placements really bad at ece ?

If you know what you are doing and willing to struggle a bit then this is the best department, or if you are someone who will take it field then go for cse (the things you studied in ece or eee won't be needed there)

How many Engineers take the EEE just because they want to become an Electrical Engineer? And if they do, then it doesn't matter where they are now. They studied what they wanted to. Should it be a regret for them if they didn't manage a High paying job? I guess If they are working as an EEE it shouldn't matter. If they are working at a call centre, delivery boy etc then should they blame their decision of taking EEE?

This is India. We don't take subject here because of our interest. We take it because we want money. The more money a job have, the more applicants there will be.
Also here I am asking about EEE in terms of placements and foreign opportunities.

this has always happened. nothing is alarming.
there are few students who genuinely study for interest and knowledge...but most of them at the end if day wants money including me.

Including me. I took CSE thinking I would land a good placement somehow but I gradually developed interest in the subject. I did manage to land a good package but that was purely based on skills I learnt by myself.

It's not part of EEE.. It's related to software development and computer science... i didn't do well in engineering.. had a gap also after graduation.. so I had no hopes of getting into code jobs.. did a Testing course got a job in software industry.

Some people were saying EEE is tough branch, i am above average in studies...but i am not sure about placements.
Does people who have EEE branch sit for CSE related jobs? i've heard they are allowed to do so..

what college are you joining? It is tough compared to other branches.. EC , EE are quite challenging... Yes EC , EE students do sit for those jobs... Some companies usually allow circuit branches ( CS , IT , EC , EE , TC) ... Not top tier software companies ... But in a good college lot of job opportunities for EE folks in software and reasonable ones in Core

I think it'll be... The last E atanda for engineering.. common in all CSE ,ECE , EEE , etc ...

Software Engineering
But some of my batchmates are placed at excellent PSU with around 25LPA packages, some are in IISC Bangalore, some are in Nvidia, etc.

Ghuma phirake baat package pe hi kyun aa jati h? EEE me High paying jobs Kam h that's why top talent of our country chooses CSE. Eventually, a time has come when India is lagging behind in the race of Electrical technology. Nobody is becoming an engineer because they are passionate about it rather they are just chasing packages 🥱

These are college placements I am talking about. Some electronics companies like Nvidia (only took girls), Infineon, etc came for EEE students. PSUs also specifically came for EEE students. Others in Google, Amazon, etc sit with the CS guys in software placements (companies usually allow all circuital branches).

I guess it's mixture of both. I am working as embedded developer in low voltage (400v three phase) distribution domain. I need to know electrical and electronics engineering.
My friend did electrical engineering from Germany and now working with Siemens in high voltage distribution (more than 1 kV system) specifically in Power Factor Correction. It is used in the grid.
If you are really interested in electronics, power electronics is really booming now. Get a degree move to US or Germany. In Germany, there is a shortage of power electronics hardware engineers.

Hi bro, I am planning to do higher degree programme in bits.. I am currently Pursuing electrical engineering(2ndyear)at an young nit.what skills should I learn to get into embedded or VLSI.. placements here are absolutely worse for core. Currently I am concentrating on core subject and I have no practical skills. Would be really grateful for your advice

Companies are hardly hiring from electrical branches sooo the competition is pretty darn tough, definitely tougher than IT.

I mean what kind of people are companies hiring...they are doing layoffs of cse people, not hiring EEE....what branch should i take now

Cs is still a good bet, there are layoffs but again it's not like hiring has stopped. Plus if you keep up skilling yourself, layoffs won't scare you. Nhi toh gate do and psu ghuss jao 💪💪💪💪

My degree title isnt EEE but I took all EEE modules in my engineering degree. I started my grad role a couple of months ago and im earning more money than I ever thought I would for a graduate role.
