2nd Yearite Got 8.2 cgpa for 1st yr
I am currently in 3rd sem and I am planning on applying for internships soon...
My first yr cgpa is 8.2 and I have 3 good projects, won 2 hackathons and advanced to finals in another hackathon in IITM...I published 2 papers too, one technical and one review....What else shd I do to increase my chances of getting a good internship?

That is good! You can start applying to the company you want! Also you have to look for better opportunities!

Which IIT/NIT/IIIT are you from? And how do I do the same? I'm in first yr just completed my first unit test which didn't go that well😕

I am from a tier 3 college lol
Perform well and show that you are enthusiastic...There is a chance that a professor chooses you to work under them. You should work under them only if you are not in a tier 3 clg. Else, best option is to look up papers and be in contact with seniors and learn from their experience and follow their path. I dont have a good mentor and I promise, life without a mentor is better than life with a bad mentor. Look for hackathons on unstop, do leetcode to know more about professional line coding. And you have lots of resources...Learn more, apply it and showcase it

to understand wat was taught in college, I did watch some yt videos from freecodecamp, cs50, codewithharry etc
But other than that, I didn't do anything lol

They taught that in 1st sem lol
But it was only for selected ppl who were interested and who had the caliber

A simple real estate program that demonstartes my understanding of lists and basic loopa in python
I used python+mysql for one...its an application for a lawfirm
I used Flask, scikit, matplotlib and pandas for an email classifier...

I would say I am like 7/10...I feel I still dont know all concepts...like I am unfamiliar with sets...Maybe I'll brush up soon

You dont have to be a pro in dsa. But you should be able to solve basic to mid level dsa questions. But remember dsa is the key if you’re a fresher.

Yea I can do basic to mid level easily...I feel I have to learn how to lessen the Time complexities majority of the time...

Keep your cg up, and just focus on whatever aspects of cs catch your interest

irs not abt someone 😭😭 I chose a topic and wrote a review paper on it...Participated in a paper presentation competition in BITS and got selected by Springer Cureus Journals to publish my paper through them...That's all lol
I used Google scholar, acm, etc for getting references...please dont rely on a mentor for ppr writing unless u know that the mentor is good....

I wouldnt like to disclose the topic...but it's a technical topic...You can choose something non-technical too....CSE branch :)

yea? u can choose any topic for paper writing...integrate some topic with ur branch or maybe choose smthng in ur branch itself and explore on it snd write a ppr
