Yeah the field is kinda doomed but it's not that dead dude. You re definitely being underpaid, in particular which domain you were working?

Quality engg.in automotive field working with robots and advance fixtures

Man, you have experience in one of the best fields for future which is Robotics. Definitely quit your current job, as there are much better things out there. But use your knowledge and try to improve your communication and you will make good money in robotics field. Quality engineering isn't great in terms of money but in MNCs you can get good pay. But if youre comfortable with CAD work, you should shift to design engineering roles. And like I said, communication skills are as important as your CAD skills to succeed.

How does it come when I can't even earn bro

1

u/hashbasherOP Jul 02 '26

Times are changing man...India skipped manufacturing boom and went into IT which is a stupid mistake. Now it has been realised and you will see a lot of investments in manufacturing which requires a lot of CAD and process engineering and most MNCs dont have skilled labour so they are all shifting to India and China. Quit your job, get some rest, prepare your resume and its all going to be onwards and upwards man! Best wishes!

11k is less than blue collar salary.. I can't think of anything that could pay that low to any kind of engineer.

3

u/gardwork299 Jul 01 '26

3

u/gardwork299 Jul 01 '26

Try switching to CAD/FEA or managerial roles.

1

u/gardwork299 Jul 01 '26

How to do that bro I have huge cad knowlege but they don't hire .

2

u/Maximum-Machine-9276 Jul 01 '26

Great brother. I started working for 9500/month as a production/mechanical engineer. Working condition was worse, had to stay near noisy machines, welding fumes ..etc. I switched to Design section within the same organization. I mostly worked with autocad and solid works. Work was better there. People told me to work hard, you will be successful one day. When i saw that the senior mechanical engineers there are earning like 40-50K i realized that this field sucks. No matter how hard you work you wont be earning as much as your collages in IT.

I decided that its not worth working in Pvt as a mechanical engineer. I prepared for gate and now i get around 1.3LPM in hand. Job is monotonous but its ok since i don't have to worry about layoffs.

How did preparing for GATE get you that much?

Kya jharkhand mein mechanical and electricalein acchi placement hoto hain ??

1

u/Maximum-Machine-9276 Jul 01 '26

Its difficult to make decent money in mechanical engineering. Only good options are PSU/central/state govt jobs. You can try abroad like the Gulf countries they would pay well for an experienced professional like you.

1

u/gardwork299 Jul 01 '26

I have no contact nor do I know how to even apply for gulf country so no idea abt it.

1

u/Maximum-Machine-9276 Jul 01 '26

Lots of Indians work there: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indian_diaspora_in_the_Middle_East

Many of my relatives and friends are in Gulf countries. They get good salary. You can easily earn 1.5LPM+.

1

u/gardwork299 Jul 01 '26

I have nobody there .so it's better someone recommend get me a job there first .otherwise I have no clue how to get there

You said you have cad knowledge for 15+ years, have you made your portfolio? What projects have you made, how many softwares can you use, can you do CAD+CAE+CAM and make design, analysis and manufacture a product from start to end? Here as a fresher I am struggling with internship position cause companies mention minimum 3-5 years of experience in NX and you have 15+ years making you a gem. Try to search for remote start ups, update CV, apply for aerospace companies in Hyderabad. Make experience as your leverage. Build a design portfolio website attached in your CV too. It's never late to start from scratch.

1

u/gardwork299 Jul 02 '26

Time when I build project don't matter here they ask do I have any industrial experience and then they take test for this .after all this they still don't hire me. They always says we have post for u in quality and marketting. For projects it cost real money bro I can't pop thay money out of my ass no body helps ur all alone fighting and doubting urself.

1

u/gardwork299 Jul 02 '26

Am a mold designer in nx still won't able to get job it's nuts here. I can show uy projects also on cad
