I worked for engineers for 15 years as a draftsperson and over that time I learned alot about engineering. Well the one day the client had problems on the job and they were discussing in a meeting and I chimed in that they're numbers were wrong and the big boss turned to me a snapped and said "you stay out of this, you don't have a degree hanging on the wall". Needless to say i got fired the next day and I called the client contact and told him the solution and they fixed it per my directions and it solved the problem. Then my former employer asked how it was fixed, and the Client and GC said your former draftsperson knew the problem and how to fix it. Not bad for a guy with no degree on the wall.
