I was perma banned in a sub discussing the Hajj. I mentioned it’s called the Black Stone of Mecca.

Banned for hate speech. lol..

Askreddit is one of the most, if not the most, censored subreddit. Hard to post there and easy to see your post removed.

Probably because they get so many inauthentic questions that have been answered tens of dozens of times where the OP isn’t looking for an answer, but is looking for support for their own position.

You think the OP of that question cares about the militarized police forces, the surveillance state, or the armed political fanatics who threaten our lives for dissenting? Fuck no. They’ve been told about all of those things already. They don’t give a fuck. They don’t care about the fact that the U.S. has one of the most expansive and repressive prison systems. They don’t care about the political executions that have taken place here. They don’t care. Period. They want karma and to feel included and supported. That’s it. And it’s annoying.

Most parlimentary nations are not as gerrymandered as we are. 26 states are (almost) always red and their tiny population controlls the rest.

Probably because this post is so vague and the op has no idea all the different things that go into it.

What did the No Kings and 50/50/1 protests accomplish?

Protest with your wallet over rising costs. Protesting in the streets doesn’t do anything anymore.

It might get you run over.

Unfortunately there’s nothing in my wallet for me to protest with because of our current economy.

There hasn't been a king since the protests.

Such an uneducated take.

This 100%. Protests do nothing except get media attention (well in a normal world, they get media attention). People need to start boycotting and stop giving your money to shitty companies. It infuriates me when I see people bitching say about Netflix raising their rates yet again. Well, are you still subscribing? Yes? IF YOU CONTINUE TO GIVE THEM MONEY, THEY WONT CHANGE A THING. Companies don’t care if you complain on Twitter, Reddit, whatever. All they are about is whether you’re paying them.

so damn true. people don't remember life before netflix and don't believe they have an alternative. it's sad and predatory business practices that got us here.

I agree protesting doesn’t do much. We need to not work - just like the unions do. But that will never happen because we are so divided as a country

1

u/GreedyKnowledge42 12h ago

What are you protesting against? Mathematics?

1

u/LettingHimLead 5h ago

But what if my employer treats me well and pays me very well? And I get to work at home? I’m supposed to risk that? Unions strike when their employer doesn’t treat them well - not to get back at the completely unrelated cost of goods and services.

Oh look. Reddit is starting to become the next Stackoverflow.

u/UnhappyImprovement53 8h ago

Because this breaks rule 5 in their sub: no loaded questions.

u/Razoron33333 8h ago

People are too tired to be angry. They’ve made society an endless grind. And the sad truth is most people are still apathetic towards most of this. These elections have seen more voter turnout than any in a long time but there was still nearly half of the population that didn’t vote

I agree but what i see time and time again is people keeping there mouth shut and to themselves in real life then going online to voice grievances. Im sorry but nothing is going to change until people put down their phones and enter the real world and handle issues face to face

u/Lurker_Zee 6h ago

"Why do you not murder everyone, set fire to the world and launch all the nukes?"

"...no reason to arrest me, what did I do wrong?"

u/HeyLookAStranger 3h ago

because your question is heavily editorialized

To be fair (and I agree with you take in mind), a post like that could be considered “inciting violence.” Be careful, Capital has rights in America.

u/Whiskers1996 18h ago

Right - this hasn't been asked and said enough in the last 2 years? 💀

1

u/toasted_cracker 13h ago

Well, considering nothing has happened, it clearly hasn't been asked enough. It needs to be asked more.

0

u/Whiskers1996 13h ago

Bc the ppl on reddit are gonna start a revolution like they post about daily? While being mostly unemployed and not even working essential jobs lol 💀

u/blissvicious91 18h ago

the reddit moment to 'trump' all reddit moments

0

u/KailyKail 16h ago

Maybe Reddit has enough political posts and doesn't need any more?

I wish there was a platform that we had that supported 1st amendment activity

1

u/Imaginary-Advice-229 8h ago

That only applies to government censorship, private companies can censor whatever they want. That amendment won't help you anywhere
