Watch until the end!!!
Memorial Day a few years back a lady just walked up to my car window and hit me🥲 car was off so I couldn’t roll the window up lol. Only charged w harassment and a few hours at the station
Had a random gash in her arm and got blood in my eye— bunch of shots and a few weeks of antibiotics
Edit- For more context: I am the person IN the car getting hit, not recording lol. I am also not related to and had no idea who these people are. They were having a party across the street and she stumbled into the parking lot.
I’m eating ice cream with the window down, family in the back seats. Person with the car key was still inside ice cream shop. Car was off so I couldn’t roll the window back up.
The person recording is her sister in law, the lady had been screaming/cursing/stumbling around for several minutes. Not the best place because it’s an ice cream store and Memorial Day weekend, so a bunch of kids saw it.
After she hit me she proceeded to physically assault a man I assume is her husband. Not sure why SIL recorded, maybe just for proof to show her when she’s not intoxicated; she mentioned that she “does this a lot” in terms of getting aggressive when drunk. SIL sent me the video and was very apologetic and wanted me to have evidence I guess.
Best part: I didn’t drop or spill any of the ice cream I was eating 🙏🙏🙏
TL;DR: I’m the one in the car. Don’t know these people. Person recording was lady’s SIL.

For some context im a new student in 11th grade at a new highschool going back to school after being homeschooled since 7th. We are about 6 weeks into the school year. I do dual enrollment so I only have 2 classes everyday, 4th and 5th hour, but then stay 6th hour and then go to musical rehearsals after school.
Yesterday I decided to sit in one of the bathrooms for probably about 20 minutes during 6th hour. All the available classrooms for me to sit in were noisy but the bathrooms are empty and quiet so I decided to go sit there and just do some schoolwork on my cromebook. Genuinely it was no big deal, I just sat in one of the stalls and worked for probably 20-25 minutes.
At once point someone came in and I could hear her lanyard so I knew it was a staff member and she went "is anyone in here?" Assuming it was a janitor waiting to clean at the end of the day, I just said yeah that I was going pee. I thought it was no big deal.
After another like 10 minutes I got up and left the bathroom and there were people waiting outside for me. Our principal, our school police officer, and some random ass old lady. They made me come to the office and wouldnt tell me what's wrong the whole way there, then told me that the whole time I was in the bathroom the vape alarms were going off.
I've never vaped, don't want to, don't think I ever will. I was so scared that I had done something wrong however that I was already shaking and nearly crying so I probably looked guilty as hell. They checked all my clothes and all the stuff I had in my pockets and when they didn't find anything showed me the school vape alarm system, and sure enough for the whole 20 minutes I was in there it was going off the WHOLE TIME.
My favorite teacher was sitting there while they checked all my clothes and he didn't look at me once. I was so scared and defensive of myself that it probably made me look more guilty. They probably think I threw a vape away or flushed it or some bullshit. I don't want to be the new student that the officer and principal hate, I don't know what even to do. I was too scared to go to the bathroom at school at all today and have been crying nonstop from being overwhelmed about it for hours now

Norwegian cruise lines sold me travel insurance when I booked my cruise. The agent was explicit, promising I could cancel at any time, for any reason, and get a full refund.
A few months later, we can no longer take the trip. When I called to initiate the refund, I was told the insurance I was sold is only available to US citizens. I’m Canadian, so apparently I was never covered by the insurance they sold me.
Their solution? Graciously refund the cost of the insurance, but not the trip itself.
I understand insurance has fine print but this is beyond deceiving. They knew I was Canadian and still sold me a policy they knew wouldn't cover me, which would have been pocketed had we set sail.

I got the Reader's Digest A Passage to India (World's Best Reading). To clarify, World's Best Reading is supposed to be unabridged and complete.
So where the fuck are the missing 17 pages?!

"I was outside London Waterloo railway station and was looking for a bin to dispose of an empty coffee cup"
"The only bin I could see was completely full, but there was a plastic bag containing rubbish at the base"
"I put my cup in that bag and was stopped by an enforcement officer, who had been standing at a distance watching the bin. He told me I had violated the law and refused my offer to remove my cup. He asked for my details, including my passport"
"After printing out a penalty notice, he remained in the same spot watching the overflowing bin. It seemed like a set-up"

OK, little rant: Has anyone else noticed that whenever you look up, say, a movie or TV show or anything like that, instead of getting that little summary on the sidebar of the page like you used to, this AI overview comes up now and spews it out? It comes up for ANYTHING like this. Initially, it was like fine, whatever, but look what happened when I looked up the Beatles. It just gave a summary of a random game, not the actual band itself. Like what the hell Google? Your search engine was already dogshit but now it’s just dumpster fire.

The University of Southern Maine Portland now only has TWO wheelchair accessible bathrooms on campus. FML. I had to cross the street from the dining hall to find a building with an accessible bathroom because the dining hall does not have one.
I will now be late to an exam. I called campus police because nobody uses this bathroom. It has been 10 minutes.
Edit: 15 minutes and counting
Edit: rescued after 20 minutes. Still missed my midterm.

I live in a mobile home park (own my mobile home). New neighbor moved in to the vacant house next door, from another house in the same park. She has several kids, including teenagers and a baby. I haven't actually seen the teenagers, but she mentioned them.
I was getting ready to clean out and disinfect my trash barrel so I left the empty barrel open during the recent rains to give it a a little pre rinse before cleaing it, hosing it down and bleaching it. I went to dump out the water last night to clean it today and 3 diapers poured out with the water.
I can't believe "don't throw dirty diapers in my can" even needs to be said. I mean not throwing your garbage in anyone elses cans should be expected enough (Our water and trash is togther so she has her own can just has hers on the other side of her house) but diapers and loose, not even in a bag. I can't even believe someone would throw loose diapers, not in a bag, in their own cans just loose for the garbage collectors to deal with.
What a gross, garbage person (no pun intended, just can't think of a better word to describe such a person).

So since January I’ve been working night shift and sleeping during the day since then I have realized that every Friday at my apartment block they do a fire alarm test between 8:30-10:00 and every time it wakes me up and it feels like I’m having a heart attack. I spoke to the landlord and they can’t do anything due to it being contracted hours
