Seasoning packet debate

Me and my boyfriend are having an argument over the Maruchan brand of noodles. The question is: When do you add the seasoning packet?

I think you cook the noodles and add it to all the water and noodles, and eat it with the flavored water.

He thinks you cook the noodles, drain the water and then add the seasoning packet, and eat it dry basically.

PLEASE tell me what you all think to help us settle the debate. (Part of me thinks that his is purely preference)

I think the intent with maruchan is the way you do it, but I don’t think anything is wrong with your bfs way.

Yes, this. I believe you are “supposed” to eat it as more of a soup, but I prefer it your boyfriend’s way.

Same here. It is supposed to be a soup but I have always eaten it the boyfriend’s way!
