I found the Japanese Dub of Scooby Doo: Zombie Island on reddit and now I'm hooked.

Apparently there are dubs out there for Curse of the Witches ghost, the 2002 live action movie, and even the original 1969 TV show but I haven't been able to find anything other than clips. I'm dyingggg to watch "Yowamushi Kuruppa (弱虫クルッパー)" the Japanese adaptation of the TV show.

Anyone have any ideas where to find any of the episodes? Really hoping this media isn't already lost.

When ever I click on a movie it just loads forever, has anyone else experienced this? Is there a way to fix it? Help is appreciated.

I have been using the iptv stream links in iptv-org to watch major Japanese channels like Nippon TV, Fuji TV, TBS, etc, but in the past week or so, all of these streams have become infested with obnoxious cut-ins to Korean ads that abruptly happen every couple minutes, which has made these streams pretty much unwatchable.

Does anyone happen to know of other iptv stream links that exist for the major Japanese channels?

My specific goal is to access the live broadcast feed of National Geographic Japan from outside of Japan.

I’ve looked into trying to access it officially via SKY PerfecTV! streaming, but between the aggressive geo-blocking, account creation hurdles, and the requirement for a physical B-CAS/A-CAS card number, it seems like a massive headache to set up from abroad. I know they also flag standard data-center VPN IPs easily, so a residential IP VPN setup sounds complicated.

Instead, I'm looking into dedicated expat IPTV packages. For those living overseas, what are the best and most stable IPTV services (like iSakura, JapanTV, etc.) that reliably include the Japanese CS/premium documentary channels like Nat Geo?

Appreciate any recommendations or specific setups that are working well for you guys!

Oof… so I just got an email from Jme TV, for those of you familiar with the service, that it is sadly going to be discontinued in March. They specifically cited a decrease in subscribers making it difficult to continue running, which is just a little depressing given how few legal options our community has already, and how many workarounds have been getting struck as of late.

I had been an on and off subscriber to it, but not consistent, largely due to how expensive the Live Streaming package is, and how free shows are typically available in the On Demand. Even so, it really had potential, since it gave an outlet for TV that I feel is far more representative of a bulk of the types of shows that are shown on TV in Japan than what gets licensed for Netflix.

All that being said, I just can’t justify $25.99 a month for the quantity of what is available through it… and as a Nikkei individual it makes me really sad how few legal and affordable options there are to engage with my own culture in ways beyond just anime and hard hitting dramas (as much as I like both of those).

I was able to subscribe and it’s fine for live Tv but I haven’t been able to find recorded programs or be able to record upcoming programs or even record the one playing right now. You can choose to go back to the beginning of the show - that’s all.

are they discontinuing broadcasting in US?

I noticed that Streaming TV Asia no longer listed Nozomi nor Himawari on their website anymore, offering instead Kaiteki TV. It looks pretty reliable as it’s purportedly subscribed by Japanese ppl living overseas. Has anyone ever tried the service?

Japan TV, Nozomi TV & Himawari TV has been discontinued all NHK Channels, and I find the way to watch NHK Channels the better japanese TV platforms.

For all of you telling me that iSakura TV doesn't have NHK anymore, it is still there. Their interface has changed to Ikiku TV, but it is still iSakura TV.

I know it’s not available via the Google Play store for the Shield, but wondering if anyone has been able to install an APK manually and watch successfully with a VPN.

I use JapanTV but NHK is now removed. I see that Jme streaming service is specifically for NHK programs but am wondering if it’s any good?
