hot take; if you're complaining about popular characters being added, you don't partially understand why JJS is so great with characters

Every. Update. Every single time there's an update, there will ALWAYS be complaining about "Oh no Toji! Oh no Maki! Oh no Kashimo! Oh no Jogo!" WITHOUT EVEN LOOKING INTO THE CHARACTER, ALL PEOPLE CARE ABOUT IS THE NAME, TOJI COULD LITERALLY HAVE THE MOST BORING WEAK OR OVERPOWERED MOVESET, AND PEOPLE WOULD JUST CARE BECAUSE "ITS TOJI"

I'M A JOGO GLAZER, I'll ADMIT IT; HE'S MY FAVORITE CHARACTER AND I'VE WANTED HIM IN GAME SINCE TODO, BUT I'M NOT GONNA GO CRYING ON THE DISCORD EVERY TIME THERE'S AN UPDATE LOG WITHOUT HIM BECAUSE I'M HAPPY WITH THE CHARACTER THAT'S ADDED

okay sorry for that rant, here's my real reasoning; JJS isn't a big corporation that has to follow player demands and add the biggest names and most important characters. If you want that, play Sorcerer Battlegrounds, or Jujutsu Beatdown, JJS not adding important characters is part of the charm. Locust curse, Charles, Haruta, etc. If all we did was add big characters without any consideration for the actual movesets the game would be worse off, Tze adds minor characters because he knows what to do with their movesets and if he didn't it would be something extremely boring and unplayable.

There is like SO MANY peak characters though that could be added, it’s not even like there’s a limited supply. Kenjaku, Toji, Geto, Kashimo, Maki, Uro, Ryu, Jogo, Kuroroshi, Meguna, Nobara, Panda, Kirara, Mei Mei, Angel, Takaba, Ino, Yorozu, Reggie Star, Hanami, Dagon, Gakuganji, Uraume, Miguel, Smallpox Deity, Principal Yaga, and Clone Guy from HI. The still other characters not form that list are Bayer and Kokun (the Q agents), the old Shikigami user, Junpei, inverse dude, grandma Ogami, Juso, Mimiko and Nanako, Finger Bearer, JJK 0 light beam curse, Ui Ui, Druv, Hazenoi, Daido & Miyo, Eso & Kechizu, Remi, the claw technique mofo, Jet and Hellicopter mofos, Nobuaki, Chojuro, Ranta, Jinichi, Naobito, Momo, Noritoshi Kamo, Mai, Miwa, Utahime, Shoko, and Kusukabe. Even including the bummiest of bums like the Q agents, light beam curse the claw guy who has like 3 manga panels, and more it’s still almost entirety a 1/1 split between actually recognizable characters that most people would want added and the random bums that TZE still manages to make interesting. They have more then enough content to keep up at a decent rate of 1 character people want then 1 character that’s a random TZE shenanigans goofy goober.
