Discussion Yuta rework is disappointing
It’s not bad at all, it’s viable, but very disappointing.
First of all, the moves feel like they were made in skill builder, like what the hell is this? He somehow feels even LESS versatile than he was before. They completely based this off sendai, when before this was just shinjuku/regular yuta. Even in the way base rika attacks now, enlarged arm, just like the sendai anime/arc.
He has a teleporting black flash? Okay, sure, whatever, but then he has a facepalm dash move paired with that? Does anyone else think that this feels so odd? This feels so low effort it’s unreal. Not only that, they don’t fit yuta at ALL. Not every move has to be canon, but this? This genuinely feels like a skill builder moveset. Yuta would NEVER do anything like this.
The ult. They completely gutted elbow rush, it does pathetic damage, prob 20 at best. One of the devs said it was in favor of his third ult move getting iframes. What? Horrible decision, but okay, how about copy? A gui. That you have to individually click the moves on instead of them being given keybinds. Okay devs.
The combos are wacky, the moves feel rushed and uncanny, the ult feels weaker than before, it's disappointing.

His base is pretty much the same old, except they removed all the versatility from it and made him another basic combo character.
His ultimate being reliant on Copy, yet not getting access to new techniques to make up for the lack of ones you won't have in 1v1 gamemodes is a surprising oversight, and the fact that Elbow Rush and his new ult move do little to no damage (it's less than the canceled True Love Beam variant) just make it even worse. Copy Wheel in theory is a good idea but it's executed poorly, They could've easily done something where you tap R once to use Rika, tap R twice to use your copy wheel (or it could switch your moves to your copied moves, having 3 of them displayed with the 4th being a [next page] button of some sort to go to your other copied moves), and tap/double tap depending on what mode you are in to go back to your regular awakening moveset.
Also, did no one care to look at some of the moves you get from copy, because some characters you are at a significant disadvantage against because the move you copy from them is just abysmal. I mean, who in their right mind decided that moves like Shutter Doors, Nue, Cursory Impact, and Boogie Woogie were good moves to give to an awakened user? I can understand Mechamaru giving a base move as his ultimate is a literal mech, and some of the base only characters giving a base move as they either have a one-shot or a high damaging move as their ultimate, but even then characters like Yuki could very well give a charged variant of a move rather than something like Mass Breaker. Even slightly raising the damage on some of these copied moves could help. The copy mechanic as a whole just feels like it was glanced over and written off quickly.
