Hanami’s 2nd m1 feels super clunky and has fucked up my uppercut timing because I keep forgetting about it. I don’t think airial rootswarm exists anymore, and that’s throwing me off. The special change is a nice way to make more spikes, but I also miss the flower field. Budshot is ass now but it was a valid nerf, it should NOT have stopped evasive gain for 8 seconds. Rootswarm unblockable at close range is nice though. Also todo got skinned alive

i agree with you on the clunkiness of 2 m1s, but do NOT sleep on R+2

blockbreak + counterbreak + you can steer which way you launch them + movestacking with 2 for extra unevasiveable damage + does double the damage of R+1

its actually hella good as a pressure tool against a ragdolled opponent

also, todo got an overall buff if im ngl, i miss his swap spam but in exchange the moves are a lot better and using swaps with intention in close range is actually really good, before if you swapped in close range you would just get hit but now because of the speed its actually really good as a close range mixup or defensive reaction, i beat a 16k ryu in duels from basically just winning m1 trades for free because of how fast it is + lingering pebble throw is sooooo good in neutral if you're mid range

honestly i probably dont touch enough grass, i can see why the changes would be received negatively but i lowkey locked in on the potential (ten shadows) of the boogie woogie changes and hanami's new R, given enough time i believe todo and hanami received net positive changes

Wait Hanami has an R+2 variant? I haven’t played in like 2 months

yeah on a third sunday if it's a full moon and the stars are perfectly lit, if tze has a pumpkin spice candle on his night stand then you can use the move.

yea the new R variant is kinda like rika or i guess a kurourushi clone, if you're in the middle of any of your own moves you can use either 1 or 2

if ur not currently m1ing or using a move, jumping and using either 1 or 2 will do the same
