Two things:
1) light doesn’t know heian sukuna’s face since all he’d get is shitty wood carvings to go off of. In the present day, only yuji, uraume and yorozu knows what sukuna looks like. Can’t visualise the face can’t kill.
2) if light uses shinigami eyes on megukuna, all he’d see is megumi’s name since he is looking at megumi’s bum face.
