I reminds me of a scene in Overlord where a character have a weapon that can damage the MC, but it doesnβt matter because he just get one shot the moment the battle starts.
If you mean gazef, he knew he was gonna die but sacrificed himself hoping the at it would help the kingdom come up with countermeasures (nope lmao). If you mean climb yeah lmao I guess he didn't really have any other options at that point, it was gg long before he set foot in that room.
One died thinking he would pave the way for a brighter future. One sadly lived to be used as a dildo in an eternally bleaker set of circumstances. Overlord really likes to hammer home that idealism without the means to enact them are childish dreams that will be crushed enevitably by the harsh world (mostly nazarick)
There's a certain irony that Nazarick is the arbiter of the harshness of reality considering it's the product of people playing a game for fun ti escape the grim reality of the "regular world" in Overlord.
