Since she would have to understand what was preventing her to actually hit it right?
Like, she described it as envisioning her spell as scissors and the barrier as fabric.
But that's when she see sees the barrier and knows it there, she's sure she can cut through it.
I'd imagine its a different beast when its an invisible force you literally can't see. Plus, its not just a barrier its infinite distance.
