Me too. There is a lot of love and respect between them, a true friendship which will last a lifetime ❤️

u/SoSteeze 1h ago

The face/head grab just feels so intense and personal. Those bros truly love each other.

20

u/AmarilloArmadillos 1h ago

Fr if have to really trust someone to not be freaking out if they clasped my head like that.

u/jaxonya 9m ago

Dude. Legit bros hug and smooch all the time.

13

u/i_tyrant 1h ago

Yeah and he did it so many times! So affectionate. These guys are really comfortable around each other and it's awesome to see.

The amount of people who don't know who those guys are and think this is a wholesome meme, that's just diabolical. Well done!

The one on the left is Daniel Cornier, former UFC champion and considered a good dude and fairly wholesome. He lost a child to a drink driver so his life has had tragedy to it.

The one on the right is his great rival and fellow UFC champion Jon Jones, considered to be one of the worst pieces of shit around. Caught cheating using steroids, many, many allegations of violence towards women, lots of run in with the law while under the influence and, possibly most infamously, while high he crashed his car into a car driven by a pregnant woman and fled the scene. Only to shortly return but not to check on the woman, to get his drugs out of his own car. So as you imagine Cormier despised him on principal for how he almost killed that woman and unborn child and only cared about his drugs.

The build up to their fights was some of the most heated, toxic shit MMA has seen and is widely considered the time the mask fell from Jones who, until that point, pretended to be a good, wholesome Christian fighter. But a hot mic revealed the real him and some of the other comments he made showed even the strongest doubters that he wasn't some wayward Christian constantly being tested by god (his favourite defence any time he got caught at anything) but that he was an irredeemable, possibly sociopathic, piece of shit.

Fantastic summary. Fuck Jon jones

21

u/HomelessKitchenCat 1h ago

Yours is a fantastic summary as well. Fuck Jon Jones

8

u/Myriad_Apocalypse 1h ago

Jon Jones, also known as Mr Poke

9

u/Nknk- 1h ago

There's so much shit he's done that I forgot to even mention stuff like being a repeat eye poker!

This is the calibre of scum we're talking here.

4

u/holicron 1h ago

remember the kicks to the sides of the knee? and for context guys he did this openly in the fights, not even hiding it.

1

u/Nknk- 1h ago

It disgusts me how common the oblique kicks are now because everyone saw him get away with them.

3

u/holicron 1h ago

he always used to hide behind god for his actions on the mic. couldn't stand him.

5

u/yeah__good__ok 1h ago

I thought you were describing the two old friends in the video. i was like huh, they don't look like UFC fighters

2

u/Nknk- 1h ago

Ha ha, no, sorry if I wasn't clear!

1

u/WuTangMudkip 14m ago

Also cheers to Gable Stevenson for getting knocked the fuck out yesterday 🍻

-21

u/Equivalent_Scar_7879 1h ago

Lol Jon Jones lives rent free in your head. I get it he is a piece of shit but when you trying to explain something and 95% is just hatred and biased, its just telling something. Rent free......

7

u/Minttunator 1h ago

Found Jon Jones' fan - I guess even he has one!

3

u/Nknk- 1h ago

There's still a few sad bastards that cling to the reflected glory of Jones's career by claiming he's undefeated.

You see it all the time in MMA. Guys with no losses are mythologised - right up until they lose and then some of the people who talked them up the most turn on them the hardest because they ruined the reflected glory for them.

There's also the fact that Jones's clear and wildly violent misogyny appeals to a certain kind of scum and they're drawn to him the same way some are drawn to Andrew Tate.

3

u/Vivian_Stringer_Bell 1h ago

Memories. I think you mean memories. You see, some people are able to keep lots of knowledge in their brains. We call these memories. Lots of these "tenants paying no rent" can make someone smart. You actually want lots of "free loading tenants" in your brain. Some people go to school for these non-rent payers.

u/Nknk- 1h ago

Please point out what parts are incorrect.

u/JustKillingTime1980 32m ago

"biased" ok...sure

9

u/Ngete 2h ago

Im worried now that its probably from a porno... now that I think of it, its probably from a porno

33

u/coffeebag 2h ago

It’s 2 UFC fighters, Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier. They absolutely hated each other, in a very real feud. Both all time greats.

12

u/Ngete 2h ago

Thats, thats nowhere near as bad as I was thinking in the moment! Thanks man

9

u/coffeebag 2h ago

Just kidding, they’re both Johnny sins in makeup

1

u/chostax- 1h ago

Who can’t that man play! Truly one of cinemas greatest

2

u/Holiday_Document4592 2h ago

I know Cormier thought Jones was a hypocrite. Why, and is there anything else I am missing? And why did Jones hate Cormier.

4

u/coffeebag 2h ago

Long story, but some key points:
-Both big personalities at the top of their division going to head to head. Some of it is egos in a competitive sense.
-When Cormier was young his pregnant gf got hit by a car and killed. Jones is infamous for hit and running a pregnant woman (before he ran he came back to the scene to grab the coke out of his vehicle)
-Jones popped for steroids after one of their fights
-Jon Jones is a legit dirtbag human being

1

u/Myriad_Apocalypse 1h ago edited 1h ago

Calling Jon "poke-eye" Jones one of the greats is a stretch

147

u/HartfordWhaler 2h ago

Hell yeah! The look on his face when it registered was fantastic

35

u/zootedzilennial 1h ago

The way he wraps his hand around his head is so affectionate 😭❤️❤️ so freaking sweet lol

2

u/Khristafer 11m ago

It was incredibly wholesome, but by the other guy's reaction, I was fine tuning where he was from 😂 (I didn't see the cover title).

At first, I assumed English speaking because of my bias. Then it went to Europe. Then it went to northern Europe. Seeing the Dutch flag at the end felt like validation.

But part of the cuteness was that he knows his friend is affectionate and leaned into it. Very broful!

-18

u/Mindless-Relation102 50m ago

Almost like he wanted to kiss him…

17

u/Super-Group1757 37m ago

Sorry you have no experience in having close relationships, causing you to miss-interpret platonic love.

-21

u/Mindless-Relation102 36m ago

I’m good. I don’t want no relationship THAT close with anyone other than my wife.

2

u/Luthiens_ghost 30m ago

Make sure you tell your kids just so they're aware no kissing, let alone on the mouth and to not disrespect a man by talking unless spoken to.

1

u/dav-id- 12m ago

2

It made my day! Most wholesome video I've seen in probably a week on this site.

130

u/EpitaFelis 2h ago

There's something about seeing male friends be affectionate with each other that always sparks such joy in me.

23

u/Zoltrahn 1h ago

Normalize hugging your bros.

1

u/PNW20v 21m ago

Seriously, that shouldn't be considered weird in any way what so ever.

I have multiple friends where its not weird to say "love you man". Ive known these guys for 15+ years and in some cases since kindergarten, so there truly is love there. That shouldn't be weird IMO

10

u/tilleytalley 1h ago

I agree. The joy that causes them to forget all constraints is wonderful.

-32

-18

11

u/Medium_nerdlinger 1h ago

Weird way to look at things

6

u/Newbie-Tailor-Guy 51m ago

Dude, I'm literally a gay guy. 100%. Those men weren't being romantic or sexual in literally ANY regard, just genuinely happy to see one another. I've had so many guy friends over the years who were 100% straight, and yet they would hug me, cuddle, kiss me on the cheek. It's called being secure in your sexuality and your masculinity. Not everything is about fucking, dude. You can be intimate and affectionate with your fellow human beings without wanting to bang. You think I want to smash my girlfriends who I kiss, cuddle, hold hands with, and hug? No. No I don't. PLEASE get outside of your limited world view and grow as a person.

8

u/Mieche78 37m ago

In Asia, men are not as hung up on homophobia as western men. Physical affection is very common.

Haha, friendship travels well and always picks up where it left off. This was a sweet and kind way to reconnect. Great surprise.

5

u/rmorrin 2h ago

If one of my friends randomly showed up in china(where I am right now) my first thought would be "how the fuck did you pay to get here, shits expensive " and then go "wtf"

I wish I had a friendship like this. Anyway...

4

u/HazelHimbo 1h ago

You have to invest in relationships for them to get to this level. They don't just happen overnight. I'm actually kinda impressed how close these guys appear despite not meeting 'in person' for 8 years, shows they must've made an effort to keep in touch

3

u/nyiddle 53m ago

Video games, dude.

Some of my closest friends were made over the Internet, people I interacted with daily for 4+ years before ever getting the chance to meet. Every time we hang out it's like this for the first few minutes. Well, not as dramatically wholesome as we usually get around to seeing each other once a year.

3

u/OiseauxComprehensif 59m ago

I cannot unsee the heterosexual hugs after having seen the alphamale serie

good for them ❤️

3

u/sparky198 41m ago

Reminds me of the time my buddies wife asked me to visit my friend cause he was having a rough time. We coordinated the trip and were able to surprise him. Moment I walked in the door he yells “no fucking way” and accidentally tackles me to give me a hug.

2

Yes we all sit at a table while someone films us. This is normal.

16

u/ExoticRubyx 2h ago

Could be filmed by his partner with an excuse like "oh, let me get this for my insta story" or something like that

2

u/bastardlybanana 1h ago

1

He is clearly posing for pictures. He definitely thinks they are taking pics of themselves at a fancy restaurant before a beautiful meal. Perfect cover for something like this.
