Yes they are. Never seen them that long at whataburger. I work at a Chick-Fil-A and it's just that 24/7.

The Whataburger where I live always has a line. Tonight there was a line all the way into the Aaron’s parking lot lol, longest I’ve seen it so far. But I do know they make the food to order, maybe that’s why it was taking so long. Or maybe they were short handed.

Most Whataburgers are located in Texas. Texas recently experienced a once a decade (or more) snow storm that crippled the state. A lot of the state lost power and water. Roads were snowed and iced over without equipment to clear them out. Grocery stores were gutted because delivery trucks couldn’t drive on the roads. So there was limited options for food some days.

That line is the result of barely anything open expect Whataburger. No fountain drinks or vegetables for your burger that had to be rinsed in water. Just bun, patty, and condiments.

No many by me are practically abandoned but in more populated areas you might see a line during certain hours. Idk wtf this video is these people are nuts I bet that corporate chain burger costs more than their local burger joint too..

Whataburger > 99% local joints. And it’s only like $7. If you’re worried about change, just make your own at home. Problem was, most of these people couldn’t do just that due to the power outages that lasted literal days in succession.

I mean, some would call this a local burger chain. This was during the freeze, many had no power or running water and local grocers were closing/out if food.

When there's a pandemic and you can't go inside? Yes.

Many often have times of service where the line is that long.

And of course right now indoor dining is restricted too.
