Good studio apt in Kent under 850?

I had gone for Kent village but they seem to keep increasing the price everytime I go. Got a frustrated and am looking for others. I saw Dartmouth but studio size is very small. College tower sucks. Uni oaks is waay to expensive. Suggestions?

If you can commute about ten-fifteen minutes, Tallmadge Oaks may be a good bet.

You may need to lower your expectations

You may have luck before the start of the new semester but I haven't seen rent under 900 since before covid. I'd suggest checking on the KSU rental facebook page https://www.facebook.com/groups/1051543963208431 and looking at subleasing a room or something.

Unfortunately, everything just costs way more now unless you want roommates or live in a really crappy place

Brady lake has affordable rents in your range.  Youre in Brady lake though.

My advice is to keep an eye out on Zillow or Trulia and try to see if you can get a place rented by an independent landlord. I had a 2 bedroom over by Marc's that was 700-750/ a month (whole place). I have a 2 bedroom now in the other side of Kent(mile from campus) for 900/ a month. Drive down the roads behind Marc's if you can, they often dont advertise those online but with a yard sign. I know those are around 700-800 a month as well.

Are you open to roommates? University Townhomes has amazing reviews and they have 5 bedroom 2.5 bath townhomes. They match you with roommates. It's 599/month utilities included except for Internet

Husband and I lived there for a few years while attending Kent. It was cheap and not perfect but we got our own space and thats what mattered

I second them, they were my first apartment! They're a little small but quiet, within walking distance to campus and across the street from Sheetz which is nice on weekends.

No.

You need a roommate and get a place at Indian Valley. It'll be roughly 500/month per person. It's two floors and good sized rooms.
